Before i decide which model, what do you think of the new Aluminum VG Bats? They're recently new. They look pretty slick and easy to pocket. Any opinions? Pro's/Cons? Ive read they're better on windy days and are more forgiving in accidental combustion. People say it doesn't give off any funny tastes in comparison to the wooden ones as well. One bowl will get ya about 5 to 9 vapor clouds you can smoke the vapepoo or make brownies with it and catch a decent bud if you smoke it use a bong with alot of water

A very nice Vaporizer to be sure - Newbies be informed, however - This method just like all vaporizing methods provides a different high than through smoking. It is less 'intense' and more cerebral, much more similar to ingesting or eating the bud. Depends on how you use it. the higher the heat typically the more cerebral the buzz. Lower heats produce a more relaxing, sedative type. Hit it real slow and easy for a nice relaxing buzz.

I picked one up a couple of years ago and at first wasnt overly impressed.

After a few goes I figured out the right way to draw the vapour and since have given up smoking.

No smoke, minimal odour, great taste.

Save you lungs and pick up a VG.

@sockamofo VG is a good intro vaporizer. I also own the Big Daddy Vaporizer ($120) and the Supreme Vaporizer ($200).

Each has its pros and cons ...what’s important to you? i.e. cost, portability, ease of use…

Unquestionably the Supreme Vaporizer is my favorite mostly due to its overwhelming efficiency.

But to your question the VG is easy to use, just takes patience and practice. You don’t have precise control over the temp but the taste between vapor and smoke is easily disguisable.

i've tried so many vaporizers, but this is the only one you need. there is a little learning curve, which makes the ritual interesting. set flame to a little over 1/2 inch long. tilt pipe and lighter at 45 degrees. inhale fast enough to keep the orange part of the flame blue. don't let flame touch walls of pipe. keep a finger on the metal part of the pipe to get crude temp biofeedback. by touching, you can tell how pre-heated the pipe is so you can adjust the amount of heat you add to bowl

that's exactly right... the hashy taste is because hash is made out of what the vaporizer vaporizes... doesn't ignite all the plant matter..

no you don't, but grinding the weed allows for a higher surface area, allowing for more thc to be vaporized. i just got one and love it. it takes several lighters a month to get by. where as smoking you can have a lighter last almost all summer (i know i have) so its more expensive in that aspect but still its great for only 60, and i would recommend it, even though my plastic mouth piece broke off in my pocket(krazy glue fixes everything)

I recommend you grind it up or you will find it harder to vape the weed evenly. What fragiggle said is true, you do end up going through a couple lighters a month but imo its more then worth it. The secret to using the vaporgenie relies on 3 things: 1)Buy a good lighter (bics) 2) proper angling of the flame into the chamber 3) proper air control when you pull in air.

Yes big time! I have not tried the Vaporgenie but have used much more expensive vaporizers and the smell doesn't even smell anything like burning weed. Vaporizing FTW
