  • Lukewarm cover.. This is proof that, in the current global situation, we do not want the truth (sadly) ..

John Lennon – a true legend of music and one of the greatest artists and activists.

  • Don't really like this version but still loads of respect for Eddie!

  • Great Quality!

  • 0:50. Stone Gossard is such a fag.

  • they're such a great live band

  • Money for DOPE, Eddie...sorry, but you can't carry John's jock, let alone o his song any justice.

  • the message of this song written about 35 years ago is still good nowadays and will remain until the system changes

  • Soo great, people want change from the evil greed/war and poverty servitude.

  • Wonderful,Thanks a lot for sharing

  • I love pearl jam and i like this version but eddie vedder cops out. Lennon sang 'its money for rope, its money for dope' .... Vedder mumbles his way through the line. In 1971 Lennon was commenting that the US government sold the public a crock of shit in the Vietnam War and correctly aluded to the fact that the CIA used drugs as currency to finance its secret wars. Vedder pays homage to Lennon in New York but the song doesn't translate to 2001. Lennon was a classic ... eddie a mere shadow

  • it is a song which makes me believe that my way of life is worth following. leading the truth is a very very hard aim but at the end we will proud of that. lennon & pj would be the greatest 'band' together ever with their attitude to life and being honest in every part of everyday life. i love them. they are making me feel HUMAN. greeting from poland :)

  • dame paz, solo dime la vdd

  • come on give it the anger it deserves not heavy enough!!!

  • @zappahart i think he's trying to be angry ,,but its something that ya cant fake ..Lennon was still in that angry/self centered fuck youse all mood and no-one could do it better he was one of the great voices of rock music.

  • @whoarethebrainpigs exactly!!!we share the same thought...its like he was reading from a teleprompter!!!!

  • @PJ92SOLAT I agree. I like this way better than the original. Dare I speak blasphemy, but I think of Lennon primarily as a song writer (rather than a performer), anyway.

  • Best cover of that song ever !!! I'm sorry for the Beatles fans but...

    Eddie Vedder > John Lennon

  • @PJ92SOLAT OK you like Eddie Vedder more but how does it make him 'bigger' than John Lennon?

    It's just your opinion. :)

  • @PJ92SOLAT it's not a Beatles song, it's a John Lennon song.

It is an amazing cover though :D

But, John Lennon > near enough everyone ever

  • @PJ92SOLAT not a beatles song ..no where near a beatles song!!!john sang it with more hate ..that is what the song is about!!!!!! eddie is singing it with love for john in his heart its good but not great!!!! you have to be mad at

  • @PJ92SOLAT

Eddie Vedder > John Lennon ???

You must be fucking kidding me. I'm sure even Eddie wouldn't feel flattered when hearing that but just think that it is idiotic. Bigger than Lennon - Gandhi, Yunus and the likes of. Few very fucking few people can't even think of musicians.

  • not to be too much of a pjam fan or to take away from lennon's words...but gimme some truth and you've got to hide your love away sound much better from ed's mouth

  • this is '03, not '09

  • @davevan7 It's the 9th song in the DVD

  • @SantyGnr21 No it's not!! It's actually the 8th song on the DVD. Do some fucking research before you put up this video for the general public.

  • pearl jam and lennon, great combination!!

  • amazing amazing amazing
