Acting was really good on both parts, the man did absolutely great, as was the camera work, however I think the best part you did of this was the use of shadows, it really seals the deal. Good stuff.
was the project a race-reversal scenario, like, would this movie be "okay" (though, whether or not it WAS okay, I still haven't figured out) if it was a white man chaining a black woman?
@amberfosho, I think a lot of folks would have bitched their asses off about it had that happened. That was a damned good question. It seems okay to have someone white chained like a beast.
@amberfosho If you choose to look at the film from a racial perspective, then you could see it as the black man being labelled as the aggressor and the white woman as the victim. Switch it around as suggested and then it could look racist by the display of a morally superior white male dominating a morally inferior black female. Basically, if one is determind to find racism, they could either way. But it would solely be their own projection, because the movie had nothing to do with race.
