  • Thanks so much! I just did my first snowboard wax job and it was easier than i thought. Saved me $30!

  • look at that mustache... boss.

  • I just got my demon wax iron, cold/hot waxes, wax scraper, spray on wax just in case, and a new snowboard bag :) I luv Christmas

  • Don't you hate it when both the top comments are the same!

  • I gotta regular iron at walmart for 7bucks

  • It's called a stomp pad.... Usually go with all temp wax....

  • i hate when the top comments are the same

  • What do I use to clean the board? Like a few names?

  • @rizluv6 fire water or a citrus cleaner

  • So, cold wax is best for man made snow?

    Thanks!

  • Its a stomp pad

  • Okay can someone please tell me what that little pad (normally small spikes or a sponge material) next to the backfoot bindings used for when u get off the ski lift ect, is called?! My old board had one but my new one doesn't and I can't find it anywhere! Ah :/

  • @rizluv6 That's a stomp pad!

  • 0 to -3 (C) is warm

    -2 to -6 is cool

    -5 to -11 is average

    -11 and up is cold

these are actual snow temps, not air

i just bought wax for first time, and i felt like something usefull to post

  • What temperature should the iron be at? I mean i know it shouldn't smoke but around what temperature should it be on?

  • Comment removed

  • Do you absolutely have to take your bindings off to wax your snowboard? and if you do and you dont take them off, will it blow up or some shit?

  • Awsome handle bar moustache :)

  • @EasternBoarder89 can i use windex as a cleaner?

  • 2 questions: when i use rub on wax do i scrape it off or just buff it with a cork? and also can i use a credit card as a scraper if i sharpen it? plz answer

  • whats a good citrus cleaner that i can pick up from the market?

  • how much would a basic iron cost?

  • lmao 4:12 ass that smells like rasberry....... i wish

  • Quick question- whats the best iron temperature for waxing? I definitely want to open the pores up, but not burn them out.

  • hahhahahahhahhahaha raspeberry scented ass

  • HMMMMM rasberry scented assss

  • i want that board soo bad

  • What happens if you use a metal scraper? Instead of plastic`?

  • @Olaipai its probably kinda thin, and the edges arent rounded, so it will slice gouges into the base, which isnt good then you gotta ptex it in....

  • @JovanforPREZ It havent made any scratches on the board. Most of them comes when I go hit the off slopes.

  • to sharpen the edges can i use a regular hockey stone?

  • LIB TECH IS GAY!!!!!!!!

  • @ktm016 Bahahaha. I feel sorry for you. That must mean you have never experienced the luxury of their technology such as the magna traction/rocker/camber/banana. That's ok though, some people just aren't ready to experience the awesomeness.

  • @snowboardbum just because it has a gay name with a fugly design on there board and is way over priced, doesn't mean its better.

  • @ktm016 Yea uhhh...what? Lmfao did you even read your post? Not only did you contradict yourself but I never said anything about the "looks" or their "name" you fool. Jesus. You sound like the typical burton consumer.

  • @snowboardbum you sound like a typical faggot. And explain to me how i contradicted myself.

  • @ktm016 No problem. You simply tried saying Lib Tech is over priced with a gay name and fugly design. You also implied that (is a completely biased opinion) that it's "mediocre" or "overrated"...You clearly need to do more research and better yet actually try riding one you fucking close minded poser. It's pretty damn obvious you have never experienced magne traction, so until you do...eat your burton consumer piece of shit while I ride in luxury.

  • @snowboardbum Which still doesn't show me contradicting myself, but whatever. Keep riding a bananna homo

  • @ktm016 Read it again. Just because I didn't blatantly state "this is how..." You're judging a board by it's name/looks while any REAL boarder will test ride it and get a feel for the board before he says it sucks or that it's an awesome board. You sound like a typical fucking fan boy when it comes to boarding. So before you say anything about lib tech or ANY brand for that matter, test ride their boards you dip shit.

  • @snowboardbum Whao man calm down, its just a board.

  • @ktm016 It is. I'm getting heated because of the ignorance in some people nowadays.

  • How would the wax you scrape of be for re-use ? it seems like alot of wax goin to waste ?

  • can u save the scraped off wax and use it for later lol

  • Where can I get one of those I love ass stickers

  • what kind of brush do you use? I didnt get that step

  • where can i get one of those tools to get the burrs off??

  • "mmmMMMMmmmmm! Raspberry scented ass!"

  • can you use sk8 wax

  • @kingsfoil9 not really dood because that wax is used for grinding and this wax is designed for snow use.

  • are there any good alternatives for a nylon brush?

  • is it better to ride rails/boxes with a freshly waxed board or not???

  • would you say rossignol boards are nice? i just bought a rossignol premiere one forty nine. idk much about it anything will help

  • do i scrape of all the wax? or leave a thin layer

  • Does it matter if you iron has steam holes in it?

  • @GuideLightt No i use a old household iron make sure there is NOOOOOOO water in it. along with you put it on LOW i reapeat LOW

  • @Sk8test Thanks I appreciate it.

  • mmmmm... rasberry scented ass

    hahahahaha

  • WHEN should i wax my snowboard? like how many times should i ride it before i wax? cuz i heard it was bad to do it everytime u go riding so, when should i wax my snowboard?

  • can some1 give me a list of all the shit u need to wax and sharpen a board?

  • YOU SUCK!!! look at my how to was board video, WAY better than YOURS. man, geeze

  • Hi this is eric from ass.............industries xD

  • what kind of brush are you using in the final step?

  • @Nicholas1543 nylon brush

  • do u have to loosen the bindings on the board before u start waxing it?? lol mmmmmm raspberry scented ass haha

  • MMMMM....rasberry sented ass....

  • what base cleaner can i use?

  • if you ride say 6 hours at a time how many times should you wax?

  • @mysideofthecouch Depends how many times you go riding. If you go about 4+ days a week then wax about every 2-3 weeks. 3- days a week get it about every month or so.

  • were did you get that cold temp wax?

  • lib tech is over rated

  • @snowboardtillyoudie ever ride one? I was skeptical, tried riding my buddies, and in comparison to my burton custom, well, I ride a banana now....

  • if my iron has holes in the bttom would it still work and can u use an old credit card as like the sraper

  • if my iron has holes in the bottom is this ok

  • MmMMMM... raspberry scented ass!!!

  • what is the citris cleaner may i ask?

  • @elgringo300 something like Pledge or something you use to clean furniture.

  • how often should you wax your board? and is it possible to wax too much?

  • what type of brush do you use at the end? Like how stiff are the bristles?

  • Mmmm.... rasberry wax

  • @beamightyhunter ahhhahahahha ya i laughed my ass off at that

  • Is the flourinated good? like is there a big difference?

  • Comment removed

  • candle wax

  • Iwant to totally get a shirt that says ASS WAX I surf and I have a hoodie with SEX WAX emblem "surfboard wax"

  • (I'm a noob) so you don't need to wax the nose and tail (the end parts that aren't flat) ?

  • @utarian7 not unless you plan to do most of your riding on the nose or tail :)

  • how it goin this is eric from ass....... industries

    lol

  • can you reuse the scraped wax?

  • LOL MMM RASBERRY SCENTED ASS

  • mmmmm raspberry scented ass

  • hows it going this is eric from ass....industries ;)

  • i have been catching my edges when i shouldnt is it because i have never tuned my board???

  • @salwei69

maybe u been catchin ur edges cuz u suck at snowboarding, lol

nah im kidding, ya ur edges are dull and rounded, which pulls the snow into and over ur board when youre turning.

if you go to a good board shop, you can get a wax done for you for maybe 15 20 bucks, maximum 40.

just a tip though, when you go to get your board waxed, ask the guy whos gunna wax it for u if he snowboards, cuz if he doesnt chances are hes gunna do a shitty job

  • I thought he said wack off not wax off....went wrong at that step.

    besides that good tutorial.

  • @oofrostonoo I might love you.

  • wax off wacks off

  • how important is it that u lossen the bindings and if u dont how will it affect it exactly

  • "mmmmm, raspberry scented ass", lol! classic, thx for the laugh. good tips, thx for posting.

  • since we're all asking questions here... importance of base cleaner compared just a good ol' wet paper towel and a bit of soap?

  • how often should i wax my board

  • is the skate banna a good freestyle board

  • yes. is might be the BEST freestyle board.

  • @EasternBoarder89

actually neversummer came out with the evo2. supposedly its the banana killer. oh well. you cant go wrong with small brands like lib, never, academy, rome. fuck corporate snowboarding!

  • @Roughneck139 yes its great it has a very easy atch free feel

  • yes.

  • ass industries . blogspot . c o m

  • what kind of wax do you use? candle wax :S?

  • no. we use ass-wax. it is specially made for snowboards. definitely get real ski/snowboard wax. it is a lot harder than candle wax, and they add hardeners to it that make it go fast.

  • how do i get an i love ass sticker

  • search ass industries blogspot. youtube wont let me write links

  • diggin the I <3 ASS sticker haha

  • Yes, use a ski/snowboard brush. The bristles are short and will scratch grooves into the fresh wax. (you might be able to find the same brush at a paint store or make on at home)

  • doo i have too wax a brand new board?

  • no, but usually factory wax is very thin, so you might want to wax after the first 3 days you go ride.

  • Would just a dish rag work alright in place of a brush?

  • maybe use a rag as a buffer, but not instead of a brush. the brush puts little channels/grooves into the wax for water to run off smoother.

  • how often should i wax

  • wax at least once every 3 full days you ride. after you get the hang of it, waxing only takes ten minutes (or less).

  • Will not taking your bindings off when waxing ur board affect anything? because im abit lazy

  • i'm lazy too. if you don't take off your bindings you just have to scrape a little harder under them. no biggie.

  • Alright thanks bro, really appreciate you helping me. 5Star and Subscribing :)

  • i heard in one video that if u dont take the bindings off when u wax it the bindings will be permanent. is that true?

  • not true.

  • ok but itll be easier to wax if u take ur bindings off right

  • nope

  • u can loosen them but dont leave screwed in all the way

  • this guy is epic

    4:10

    mmm raspberry scented ass

  • i have a deep grove on my board and i was wondering if there is a special type of wax i should use????

  • Deep grooves and gouges should be filled with P-Tex. P-Tex is actually a stick of plastic that most bases are made from, but shaped like a gluestick for a hot glue gun. You drip it into the groove and then have to shave off the excess with a razorblade. definitely search around for more info, doing it yourself is easy. or go to your local shop and they should fix it for $10-20.

  • Mmm blue rasberry scented ass

  • Can you reuse your excess wax you scraped off?

  • I think so. although it is kinda hard to re-melt and keep account of. good thinking.

  • hey how do you wax the deep groves that you have?

  • keep dripping the wax directly into them (but it will come out after a few hours).... or get them fixed with p-tex.

  • is it NEEDED to wax your board?

  • not needed, but it will make a huge difference in how fast you go. when tickets are so expensive why ride a slow sticky board?

  • have to all wax scrape off????

  • yes, it will leave a super thin layer inside your base. (bases are porous like skin, wax will get into the pores and stay for a few times riding)

  • Is it bad if the wax hardens up like 5 -15 seconds after you take the iron off that spot. Cause I waxed my board today for the first time and the wax wouldn't stay liquid very long cause it as really cold outside.

  • It's ok if the wax hardens fast as long as it's spread evenly. Colder temp wax will usually Harden quicker and be a little harder to scrape. good luck, hope the video helped.

  • are there any types of candle waxes u can use such as soy or parrafin?

  • some people are trying things with soy... It might work with the right mix of hardeners.

  • questons.

i am ver very lazy and dont rlly want to go out and buy the proper stuff to do this job because im on a low budget rite now. so can i use candle wax and a old iron with holes (still in good condition)

also i have just bought a new board at the end of last season and have been doin some lite freestyle..went about 4 times with it...wonderin if it needs to be waxed or sharpened

and last im wondering if it was already waxed when i bought the board?

    Thankyou

    Tristan :)

  • old iron is ok. old ice scrapper might work. don;t need a brush. but candle wax won't. it will just make you go slower. all new boards come with wax, but it is usually very light and will come off after a few days riding. edges will stay sharp for at least 15 times (or more). rocks and rails will kill edges. try it and go shred.

  • hah i love the i heart ass scraper. this is so funny, great video!

  • whats the best kind of household cleaner?

  • not sure. simple green works pretty good. or that orange stuff.... we use citrus based cleaner.

  • mmmmm.... raspberry scented ass

    hahaha funny

  • ass induistries haha

  • keep the wax

put it all together and melt it in some sort of cup or mold

    re use

    presto

    uve converted to jeudiism

  • your a jeanious

  • lol.... funny as hell

  • @hightstownhyphy

haha iv heard that said before but you really shouldn't reuse wax because wax helps to pull all the junk out of ur base, and using old wax will just put the junk back in, and makes u go slower...

  • I LOVE ASS!

  • can you just use any kind of brush at the end and also can i use an iron with holes in it to do this

  • you could probably use any nylon brush, the bristles are only 1/4 inch, so they are super stiff and perfectly flat, the brush actually cuts tiny grooves in the wax that let the water (melted snow), glide better. The real brush is probably best to have, I think they are only $10. Easier than making one. make sure you have a green brillo/scrubbie pad too. for the final buff. always wipe tip to tail.

a regular iron with holes is ok, just make sure it is kept on low, and doesn't burn the wax. thx

  • hmmmmmm raspberry scented ass 4:12

  • nice vid, once i apply the hot wax iron it spread it even, let it cool for 20 min. then pass the iron again, and let it cool again for 20 min before scraping it. really makes a difference.

  • very good point. get that wax soaked into the base.

  • :D i too

  • lol i love the shape of the wax. Asssssssssss.......

  • What happens if there are binding holes?

  • try unscrewing the bindings a little bit. so the dimples in the base are flat.

  • "i love ass"

  • mmmm raspberry scented ass.

  • nice shirt

  • warm snow?

  • yeah, it doesn't make sense to me either. but snow temperature actually gets colder when the outside temp goes down.

  • Um..Say you wer poor like me... Could you use candle wax?

  • it seems like it would work. but candle wax is too soft. it will just slow your board down. I'll try to get eric to do a video explaining why. Although candle wax is perfect for skate curbs.

  • wow if your poor, how can u afford a snowboard and lift tickets?

  • "on moms panties" ahahahaha

  • "mmm raspberry scented ass"

  • lmao

  • how much money does it cost to get eastern boarder to wax/shave my snowboard?

  • howmeany times do u have to wax it meaning after what time of riding do u need to wax?

    good video

    saun

  • Try to wax after 3-4 days of shredding. Depending on snow/ice conditions. Sometimes 1 day of cold snow will take all the wax off. you can tell when the base area near the edges gets dry.

  • ah ok thanks man

  • thanks for the vid
