Looks like you lost a wonderful friend. To share your thoughts on canine cancer, please drop by Jerry's three-legged dog blog at tripawds dot com. He just celebrated my 11 month anniversary since his osteosarcoma surgery.
I'm so sorry for your loss. It was a lovely video. and Curtis was a beautiful boy. I lost my great pyrenees, Malcolm, to osteosarcoma, too last year when his cancer metastisized into his lungs. He was my boy. My heart goes out to you.
This is why I posted this. I hope that you are not dealing with the same thing, but if you are, I am so glad to be able to give hope. Cruz led a very strong and healthy life after his diagnosis, for almost 6 yrs. We miss him terribly.
I've seen quite a few clips of large breed amputees (as a means of making a decision on my own dog) and I have to say Cruiser's agility and spunk is about the best I've seen. Very impressive!
Thank you, he was a very impressive boy. Sadly, we had to euthanize him on Apr. 26. He was diagnosed with a large tumor in his left lung. But, he will always remain our Wonder-Pyr...he beat The Beast for almost 6 yrs. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your dog.
Don't worry, Dugan will do fine! I am very sad to have to report that Cruiser was euthanized on Apr. 26 due to a tumor in his left lung. But, he will still always be our Wonder-Pyr.....he beat The Beast for almost 6 yrs!! My thoughts and prayers go out to you and Dugan.
Thank you, Dugan started his chemo yesterday. So far so good. I'm sure Cruiser is running like the wind right now. Someday I hope he and Dugan can play together while they wait to see us again.

This is a mission I'm undertaking in memory of Malcolm and for all those who've suffered from this dreadful disease.

Go Cruiser! You're an inspiration. I pray my Leonberger will one day run like you.
