@lionel10messi15 3d studio max is made by the same ppl who made autoCAD, but i dont think 3d max can do the same stuff autoCAD can. 3d studio max, i think, is more spcialized for 3d while autoCAD is more for like desiging buildings,blueprints, and stuff like that in 2d and 3d, but thats just me, and i dont really kno a lot about 3d max, so ya, just sayin, nice name btw

autocad is best only on a 2d drwing & wire frame drwing but not as a rendering software, so quit modifying autocad softwarec oz release12 is the same as r2009,

for your info. still otocad can only give an accurate drwing on a 2d drwing only. so i dont know why they keep modifying atocad which is otocad r12 is the same as otocad 2009, the only only a software that is for rendering only.. otocad is best only on a wiraframe only.period

You wont believe, the GROUP function in the CadLT version is much better than the full version. Bloody AutoDesk knows MICROSTATION is a much better program, but so what, because it is easier to get AutoCAD staff than Microstation Staff, so every boss still just buy AutoCAD. The Layer system is shit too. On the other hand, they are working so hard on REVIT, because they know it is after ArchiCAD, so they have to be better.

Our Office just switched to 09 Architecture from 2006 ADT. It is NOT easy or intuitive.

Saving Drawings is painfully slow, palettes are slow to collapse and expand, and it is just sluggish.

I've used AutoCAD for many years, 1.8 ADE 2 to the latest, and this is the first time I've been outright put-off by many of the changes made.

I am disappointed with the release; Autodesk should focus on speed, stability, and refining next time; instead of adding eye candy, or half-baked features.

This is work typical of the designer or architect in a firm. The draftsman will take these models and turn them into 2D constuction documentation (which AutoCAD can also produce.)

I found Revit Structures is limited to structures that are similar to commercial or residential buildings. I tried implementing this program in the development of a 3D model of the New River Gorge Bridge and found that Revit lacks functionality with drawing elements in 3D that are not bounded between two horizontal working planes, such as in the arch of the bridge.
