How can anyone not think of "Bowling For Columbine" when hearing this song? Great cover by Teenage Fanclub. Besides, the movie was Charlton Heston's best performance ever.
That was one the most important movies i've ever seen...it really opened my eyes to what was goin on in America, and how much violence is accepted in todays society.
@TheHSFT since when does the nightly news talk of what's really going on? I mean, it never really talks of what has drastic effects in the long run. It's always "In south central La someone was shot", or "A man was murdered somewhere." Never the important stuff like whats killing the planet. IF IT BLEEDS IT LEADS
Can someone PLEASE tell me WHY this song sounds SO damn different in the intro for "Bowling for Columbine" movie????? It almost sounds like a different team that is singing it. Help?
No Camper Van Beethoven team sounds even more different.. This version sounds almost like it does in the intro for Bowling for Columbine, but not really exactly the same.. Dont know why.. Weird :/
There's a vid interview with them from way back that suggests that they were pretty connected to the american indie scene of the mid-80s. This was a big college radio song in the us--the CVB version. But how they came to hear it--or when they covered it...who knows...
