This wide spread contempt for open marriage is rather hypocritical when some people (mostly men) commit suicide from alimony payment stress and other complications from divorce. Open Marriage is a good way to let out those feelings of boredom and have some variety with other spouses, but have a trusted & loved one back home. And she/he could have freedom to be with someone else when she/he gets tired of the monotony. However, cheating on someone BEFORE the agreement is wrong and actual cheating.
