I've always called that "Daisy, Daisy". I didn't recognize it as that and can't listen to it again right now because my speakers aren't working. I'll ask the calliopist to identify it for us.
Yes, that tune in the beginning (sorry, I was sleepy last night when I wrote that first comment) - That tune has to be "Daisy Bell" (A Bicycle Built for Two).
It is "Daisy" (made more famous by the film "2001: A Space Odyssey"), preceded by "Sidewalks of New York". They sure sound sweet on the Belle's calliope! Although a small calliope, I've always rated it among the best.
I'm glad you liked it. I know the calliope player, so I was able to go up to the pilot house and get the video with my digital camera. Good job on the installation.
this is what you do when you hate your neighbors

Is that an old Jimmie Rodgers song? Sounds like "Waitin for a Train" or one of those old songs.

The video includes parts of two songs. I don't recognize the second one. The first is "Sidewalks of New York". The words I recall are:
East side, west side, all around the town,
The kids play ring-a-rosie, London Bridge is falling down,
Boys and girls together, Me and Mamie O'Rourke,
Tripped the light fantastic, on the sidewalks of New York.
According to a web site, it was written in the 1890s by James W. Blake and Charles E. Lawlor.

Gee it is great to see this calliope in action on the BELLE. I remember installing it in 1988!

Who is the calliope player then?

My sister, Martha. I don't think I should give more info on a public forum.
