Hey! First off, thanks for commenting, I appreciate the feedback. In regards to their being a book I am 100% there was not. It WAS (as you say) a play, however, called "Necromerchant's Debt" which only select songs are available for. However, and unfortunately in your case, it is only available through the net to my knowledge.
My SUGGESTION though is that you go to a Shoppers Drug Mart or any other store that sells Itunes gift cards so you can order it on Itunes. It's simple and easy and the best solution to buy the stage soundtrack. Just search "Repo the genetic opera" on the Itunes store and it's one of the two available. The play itself is only available only via priated DVDs which I have yet to locate online. Does that help somewhat? =)
Actually, "Bravi!" was in the original stage version, not as "But This Is Opera!" In the stage version it is called "Come To The Genetic Opera (Bravi! Bravi! Bravisime-a!)" You can find it and many other songs from the stage version that aren't on iTunes floating around on the internet.
That would make a whole heck of a lot more sense. As it stands it's quite the curiousity. Interesting mistake on ITunes part...and that they never corrected it either. =S

I read somewhere that "Night Surgeon" and "Legal Assassin" were not retitled for the movie, iTunes just messed up on putting the titles.

Both the play and the movie have their ups and downs but they are still awesome
