  • I had one of these but the berings went due to where it was kept. On the old Electrolux when it was plugged in the orange light used to come on.

  • Nice vintage vac. I remember we had the brown Z345 which was really nicely made and lasted years. I remember that you could remove the top outlet grille and filter pad and you could attach the hose to the air outlet port and use it as a blower! I'm almost certain that it came with some kind of spray gun too, which I think had a glass container. Having the blow facility was quite handy at times and not something you get on most models these days.

  • We had for many years a brown version just like this, i noticed that the dial for how full you want the bag on your one is orange lines representing how full, well ours had numbers instead and i rememeber it saying automatic. Its hose looked like a snake and only had a 750 watt motor.

It was replaced in 1992 with a Hoover Aquamaster.

  • This video sucks! Just kidding. Actually, thanks for sharing. It brings back many memories, including the time my mom sucked the dog's tail up in the carpet attachment. The poor dog would never get near a vacuum again!

  • what country is this from, its amazing!

  • @thekingofsobe It's from England

  • I love Electrolux vacuums. My family owns a 2100 (I think from the 90's) They're great. I remember how surprised I was when I first experienced how powerful it was compared to our old Panasonic.

  • How long was the 345 in production for?? I don`t collect vacuum cleaners but I`ve got one which is absolutely mint - even with it`s original electrolux bag. I`m hanging on to it as it really is a nicely made machine and may be worth something for antique value one day?!!!

  • @seventeesweremagic the 345 had a pretty long production run, from 1975-1980 when it was replaced by the 355 and 350 series. They always hold their money and are always popular

  • o wow boring

  • piss off then

  • why does the light come on when its off instead of on??

  • its a mains light that shows that theres power reaching it from the plug, I think it also doubles up as a bag warning light. When the bags full, the vacuum switches itself off and the light comes on

  • yeah, it does - it lights up when the bag is full - my mom had this cleaner. I LOVE ELECTROLUX

  • I've got the toy version of that model. I'll be putting it on Ebay soon. I have fond memories of the 345. My mum had a 502 which was a great cleaner.

  • whats outomatic? about it?

  • The floor head had brushes that automatic retracted when you went from hardfloors to carpets

  • song?

  • man you guys need to get a life.....lol

  • sod off twat no one asked you

  • looks well cared for. check out OIL SPILL ELIMINATOR on You Tube

  • I can do a video response if u want me 2 do it

  • Hello, i got a electrolux 320 today

  • I sold Electrolux in the mid-90s and found many of these in customers' homes in still-perfect working condition. The only reason these customers called was to buy new hoses or bags. Sometimes I would clean out their old vacuum using a newer model, and they'd salivate over the newer model - even though they didn't need it. I never had to pressure a soul to buy. I do wish Electrolux would ditch the antiquated MLM business model though, it's responsible for a lot of problems.

  • i am having alot of issues finding the E6 style electrolux bag in the united states

  • indeed the chocolate brown cleaner was the z-345.

  • TA BUENA LA M AZAMORRA

  • its a hoover :D

  • really? I thought it was a tv lol

  • WOW YOU LUCKY THING!

in my oppinion, this had to be greatest vacuum cleaner on the market!

my mum had one back in the 70's

she used to pull 3 kids around on it when she was hoovering! id love to get my hands on one again!

  • Wow, I have one of these but in Brown, original attachments, instruction book, its a great cleaner but seeling it tho, was a wedding present to my Mum, I have it in a box in a cupboard, a brilliant machine. It was well looked after, filters were changed every 6 months and has loads of life still in it.

  • I do believe the brown model was the 345.

  • Do you remember any Goblin vacuum cleaners from the 1970s?

  • lol I dont 'remember' any vacs from the 70's because i wasn't born until 87, but I know of Goblins from around that time, especially the Housemaid uprights, they were pretty cool, never used one though

  • My nan had one of these :-)

  • There can't be too many of these vacuum cleaners left. I know 5 people who had one like this, but the cleaners are long gone.

  • Great video and vacuum. Were did you get it from in such good shape? I think your in Britain. Were your Electrolux's were different then ours in the USA. They sure don't make them like this anymore!

  • thankyou, I live in Sussex in Britain an most of the vacuums i've got have come from the local dumps, this machine was in a pretty bad state when I first got it but it was original and ran well so after quite a lot of work I got it looking as good as it does. At the same time 2 others came in too but they were far worse, one had its cable cut and the grill on top had melted and distorted so I think the motor had burnt out, the other was completely dead, possible cable problem.

  • did this canister have any competition

  • not too sure to be honest, the early 70's isn't really my era, The Hoover Conquest is the only large deluxe cylinder I can think of from around 1973 except maybe Miele.

  • i understand ryan

  • can you make vid of this vac with hose end blocked

  • Sure

  • love lux, the trubinette was used on early compact vacs here in the usa, excellent collection,

  • You don't know how much I enjoyed hearing one of these again :)
