I actually agree with the population problems that an entirely atheist population would have to deal with. True: the higher one's IQ the less likely they are to have more than one or two children. On the other hand, low IQ indivduals can't seem to have enough children. The would be a problem. Atheism is a population (at least in the USA) that is made up in large part of indivduals who were raised christian and eventually deconverted...take that away and the population becomes unsustainable.
The concept of God is best explained as a product of human behavioral evolution. Thus, evolution produced the idea of the divine to try and provide answers for our species' awareness of their future....not the other way around.

I actually agree with the population problems that an entirely atheist population would have to deal with. True: the higher one's IQ the less likely they are to have more than one or two children. On the other hand, low IQ indivduals can't seem to have enough children. The would be a problem. Atheism is a population (at least in the USA) that is made up in large part of indivduals who were raised christian and eventually deconverted...take that away and the population becomes unsustainable.

I wouldn't keep them from doing whatever they wanted to do with their lives, so long as no one got hurt, nor would I just assume that since they choose to live a different way than me that they are going to hurt others. I'm saying that if a Christian wants to complain about atheits celebrating parts of Christmas and adopt it into an atheist way, then don't complain because that's exactly what Christians did.

Well, if Christians really thought pagan traditions were evil or untrue to their religion, they never would have adopted them. The only reason they were adopted was due to their popularity. If Christianity were so undoubtedly true it wouldn't need all the flash and fun of the pagan traditions (or coercion) to gain followers, and even though early Christians had to inject fun into the religion, why not just make up their own holiday instead of stealing that of another religion?

OOPS! Silly you: trees and carols were originally pagan traditions, just like all the fun parts of Christmas! The Christian church just adopted all those traditions related to the winter solstice to convert more people to Christianity by having a form of celebration and excuse to get drunk. They selected that time of year to celebrate the birth of Jesus, despite the fact that it is unlikely Jesus was born during December.
