You're right about him being Hawaiian, like people are New Yorkers and Californians, but his ethnic makeup IS Japanese and African-American. His mother was a Japanese immigrant and his father is black.

ohh yeah, because he flies from Hawaii everyday to Azusa California where he trains at in this video. (Azusa Pacific University) He actually lives in Glendora California where I go to school at. I go to Citrus College Community College which is RIGHT ACROSS the street from where he trains at. He lives in Glendora though.

I love the T shirt that he was wearing during his warm ups at the Olympic Trials in Eugene. The Front of the shirt said ," Jesus Christ is my Hero." on the back of the shirt it said , " What has your hero done today?" That right there is my kind of role model.
