  • It's when you're forced to do anything that you're simply NOT crazy about doing - it becomes tedious and more WORK than fun. The Beatles were musical adventurers and they took the listening public on their ride of happiness and freedom and unbridled joy and then grew up and began to seek the answer. They were always into what they were doing and here, for the first time, they weren't. The cracks were really beginning to show.

  • They were like a family and families fall out and grow apart let's enjoy the music they did

  • I've been in plenty of bands -and i would be certain that if this was any other group they would have broken up years earlier ...you cant be in the biggest band ever and not feel it rolling along with a momentum thats too fast too jump off . Kinda like being a playboy bunny -stay with old creep hefner -and indulge his money -or leave with integrity and be the waitress you may only ever be .Look at what they did after - sad for us - liberating for them Will not see the likes of them again.

  • beatle bom é beatle morto!

  • I'm sure it did get very petty. But if you look at the videos during those days when they recorded the album - they do look bored, that's for sure. What incredible music though. I'm so glad they did as much as they did because the evolution of their music is just incredibly fantastic to listen to. Every one of them a hit IMO.

  • @fauxfat They were indeed musically gifted, and perhaps that situation gave them more inspiration for their last songs, who knows. Perhaps if they had been in a happy situation none of those songs would've been written.-

    Cheers.

  • Harrison seemed a bit snooty as to not want to be there and Twikenham ..yes very convenient after the skills of John and Paul made you the musician you became..be grateful Georgie boy and follow the leaders..Be happy that you too also came for the ride...

  • I have just watched Let it Be the Movie on you tube. Now I know why A This film has not been seen in 30 years & B Why the Beatles broke up. YOKO BLOODY ONO!!!!! She is just sitting there not saying anything but judging (why not make some tea or skin up for the boys!) Watch the WHOLE movie before replying SHE BROKE THE BEATLES UP FACT

  • @kingofpunk1977 Agreed! Now she sits in the spot light pretending like she cares about Lennon's death. I think that she arranged his death! Honestly I do!!

  • @Nonazoona I disagree with your Lennon death theory . I am more pissed with John getting too wrapped up & bringing the Mrs to the workplace & breaking up the Beatles prematurely. Personally I think there was good material to keep going until 1972/73 & then perhaps George would have left cos he was fed up with his 1 or if he's luck 2 song per album quota

  • @kingofpunk1977 How do you know that Lennon brought her...maybe she brought herself. Forcing herself on him. I personally think that Ono had something on the poor guy. I mean it was plain as day what she was doing to the band. And it explains in this vid that he was really only fed up with the cameras and everything, not the beatles. So I don't think he would want to have someone coming between the band. I agree with your material/George thing though.

  • @Nonazoona From Jan 1963 till Dec 1980 Lennon could have shagged any bird he wanted because he was John Lennon. Truth is Lennon was looking for a Mother figure & a creative partner. Listen to the lyrics for Help. And what could Ono have on Lennon ? The Gay Epstein rumor? Who gives a shit. Trust me I had no time for Yoko but we have to accept it was Lennons choice to be together 24/7

  • @Nonazoona

The others band members had their significant others there, and John had Yoko. The tension was from none of them really wanting to be there (except Paul). I'm sure the Yoko thing added to it, but I don't see what she was doing 'wrong'. She was just sitting there. I also don't think John, as strong willed as he is, would ever let someone force themselves on them and just accept it. He'd just say 'F you'.

  • "Ringo" fans.... In honor of Ringo's 70th, I hope U will check out my "RINGO"video. It's very retro with Beatleish touches & was done as a labor of love and with the utmost respect for the Fabs. My attempt at putting a little bit of the Beatle spirit out there for Beatle fans. It's also my tribute to George Harrison's slide playing as well as Ringo's unique style.

    Peace,

Vinnie Zummo, former Joe Jackson guitarist

  • the Beatles have been real polite to John by saying "oh the band was done anyway" but Yoko in the studio was the straw that broke the camels` back...if youve ever been in a band and want to break it up,tell your bandmates yout girl is gonna be part of the process now or I leave, lol

  • Paul was the only one who was still into the beatles at this point.Clearly the other 3 had had enough clearly....

  • @onlyjoetee actually Paul was the only one being creative,I suppose it was just the time,

  • @PAULOcbi maybe yes,but the point is,at this point the other 3 guys were not interested in being the beatles anymore..thats quite clear. No point being creative if the other people you're with ain't interested..

  • @onlyjoetee you gotta remember John had alsogiven the Beatles the ultimatum that Yoko was gonna be evrywhere John is, even the studio.I dont know many bands that could do anything after a bandmate like John Lennon says "oh by the way my wife is basically part of our creative process now " after 15 years together I can see why the rest of the band is apathetic about letting a " concept artist" (yokos words) like yoko into their circle, she was talentless too

  • @PAULOcbi no she wasn't talentless, she's got some very interesting and original ideas actually.Lennon was not interested in beatles anymore, simple as that

  • @onlyjoetee your a fan of Yokos` art ??? Ive never met a fan of her art or singing in my life!! you must not get out much,,

  • @PAULOcbi she was an artist, with some very very original creative ideas of her own.weather you actually like them or not,or get out every single day or not makes no difference to that, and perhaps the only human being who was ever truly on the same wavelength as john lennon.Im not interested in yoko bashing, its foolish, pointless and does not take into account the inner dynamics of a band, something that those of us who are actually musicians understand very well

  • @onlyjoetee you say youve played in a band ??,you wont address or entertain the fact that bringing yer old lady to the studio and giving your band ultimatums about her presence can bring a pall to the studio proceedings??,you wont deal with that eh joe,?? c`mon you played in a band ,you know what kinda move that is,that is the reason evryone in the studio is despondent, not `cos of internal dynamics, they`d been pickin and pokin` at each other for years,

  • @PAULOcbi Don't you get it yet!!!HE DIDN'T WANNA BE THERE AT ALL BY THAT POINT!!!!neither did george harrison or ringo starr for that matter.Simple as that!!!!!they were flogging a dead horse!!

  • @PAULOcbi the rolling stones recorded their greatest album in a mansion in France with all kinds a people in there, wives, girlfriends, hangers on,cooks, photographers, junkies, dealers all fucking sorts!!!If you have a band who ALL wanna be there who ALL have their heart it it,wont make a fucking damn bit of difference who's there!!Yoko ono is sitting in the room so what?does that stop you from playing your drums or guitar or piano??????DOES IT???

  • @onlyjoetee your comparing apples and oranges ,saying 'lets all go to France to live for tax reasons and record an album in the mansion Keith rents",,(the other Stones had their own villas as well) is a lot diff. from John saying 'my old lady HAS to be in the studio or Im out',

  • @PAULOcbi She's in the studio SO FUCKING WHAT!!!!!how is that a handicap to the drummer playing his drums??or the bass player playing his bass???Bob marleys entire family were in the studio all the time,SO WHAT!!!Electric ladyland one of the greatest albums of all time, was recorded with all kinds of people in there SO WHAT!!!thats got nothing to do with anything.these are 4 people who no longer want to do this shit anymore thats all,END!!!!

  • @onlyjoetee John was too embarrassed after LetItBe,(and letting Yoko in the studio),he was the laffing stock of evry musician from England to L.A.,,John wouldnt leave NewYork, he was waaay too embarrassed to face the other Beatles (or any musicians )by then, believe it or not its embarrassing to men when its known that 'the lady' is calling the shots,

  • @PAULOcbi Embarrased of what?what lady calling what shot?who cares about every two bit musician from england to L.A.People think if it wasnt for Yoko, the Beatles would still be in the studio today making their 150th album or whatever, these fans have no idea of the dynamics of a band or the problems within one.For a group with 3 lead singers and 3 individual writers it is a miracle they ever even lasted more than 2 albums let alone as long as the beatles did.believe me

  • @onlyjoetee please ,your being as infantile as Lennon, you wouldnt be embarrassed to have to apologize to your band for bringing your girl to the studio and making ultimatums like ,'she stays or I go."??? would you go to your band now, and do that ,joetee??are you tryin to be polite ,like the Beatles were, by not slagging Johns` wife ??

  • @PAULOcbi a band, works by fractions, its the sum of the parts. The beatles was like 3 whole's.imagine taking say Bruce springsteen and David Bowie and Elton john and making a band!!!for that to last more than one album would be a miracle.Thats the kinda dynamic the beatles had.Its amazing they even went that far together, its amazing!!!!!!

  • @onlyjoetee I understand bands,I been playing pro-guitar since Iwas 15,Im 41 now,so they were pickin and prodding each other for 20 years they realize they are too old to play the games now ,and cant stand being around being fodder for each others frustrations,so John brings his old lady into the mix?? that was the straw that broke the camels back,John was too embarrassed to even apologize fer that,"Sorry,Paul,George,Ringo,my old lady has my dick, and half my brain `cos Im an emotional infant."

  • @PAULOcbi I dont go in for all the Yoko hating, its pointless.John Lennon's serious interest in the Beatles ended by the time of Epstein's death.I mean by the time of India and just before the white album it was basically all over.Beatle fans find this hard to digest but it is the truth, face it..Looking at the dynamics of the Beatles as a band, its amazing they even lasted as long as they did

  • @onlyjoetee I totally admit the beatles were on the rocks at this point ,do you agree the best thing to do then is to bring your wife(yoko) into the already tense mix by insisting she be around during recording?? Yoko had Johns` balls in her purse and if not for her who knows what kinda spark or electricity could have happened without the 'new face' in the mix, and she was a talent-less "concept artist",,geez! wot a mess

  • @PAULOcbi what spark???the person doesn't want to be there in the first place, and he wasn't the only one either..

  • @onlyjoetee no actally the catalyst or final straw to the Beatles breaking up was prolly John bringing Yoko to the studio ,it was an embarrassment to the rest of the Beatles as well,if youve never played in a band you`ll never know what its like, rock band is like a marriage, bringing an outsider in was the most hurtful thing you could do,I cant believe Paul and the lads got thru it,the recording I mean

  • @onlyjoetee the reason the Beatles didnt make another album is `cos Yoko was gonna be on it

  • @PAULOcbi How could the beatles make another album after abbey road!!George harrison has 4000 songs he's not allowed to sing!you think he was fucking happy about that?Lennon is not interested in no fucking Beatles,McCartney wants to tour,a beatles tour!!!audience louder than band!!!Ringo has to put up with 3 peoples bullshit!!You have NO UNDERSTANDING of dynamics in bands!!!let alone the beatles.Yoko ono was perhaps ironically the best thing, she gave them great excuse to finally end it..

  • Just goes to show you how perceptive John is. To those who say Yoko brainwashed him, wake up and just admit only a weird person can satisfy another weird person. John was weird by all "normal" standards".

  • @rolandrog John was an emotional child, most needy emotional people latch on to these type of woman, what kinda guy brings his old lady into his band of 15 years??

  • @PAULOcbi one who no longer want to be in that band!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @onlyjoetee why is he there then??,,,by this time John was worth 30 million,if he doesnt wanna be there ,whats he doing there???

  • @PAULOcbi money's got fucking nothing to do with it..pretty soon he wasn't there was he.........

  • @onlyjoetee you said he didnt want to be there? if not for money then why show up?

  • @PAULOcbi what the fuck has money got to do with anything?you think john lennon went to twickenham for money??the breakdown of anything happens gradually.....

  • @onlyjoetee why do you keep avoiding the fact he brought his chick to the studio and demanded she stay...you say your a band musician ??then you know how seriously things like that are to a band, but you keep relegating it to 'pink elephant' status, Ringo and George arent despondent `cos of yoko ,no its sumthin else,Pauls not being condescending `cos theres an outsider there(yoko) its `cos of sumthing else, take the blinders off Joetee,

  • @PAULOcbi He brought his chick to the studio SO FUCKING WHAT!!!Keith Richards wife AND son were in the studio during exile on maine street!!did that stop anybody playing their instrument!!

  • @onlyjoetee your simple pal,Yoko wasnt popping by for an hour and having a bite and take a crap then go shopping and meet John at the hotel(which is what most people do at those places, except the artist,)John told the beatles shes gonna be here for evrything ,collaboration, evrything ,not just hanging around ,

  • @PAULOcbi Because he didn't want to be with THEM anymore!!!take 3 lead singers who are 3 writers with 3 visions and 3 ego's and put them in one band,if it lasts for more than 5 fucking mins, that counts as a miracle believe me,let alone 15 yrs!!anybody who understands human nature let alone bands knows this!!forget ying and yang the beatles was ying ying and ying! it is a miracle they lasted more than 2 fucking albums. They needed eachother to make it,once they made it,they didn't!!simple as that

  • @PAULOcbi it is almost impossible for 2 stars to exist in the same unit let alone 4!!the tensions involved!!this is why i dont go in for the Yoko bashing.she may have been the straw that broke the camels back, but that back was well broken trust me.As someone who knows bands and human nature!shit.the whole thing only held together that long because of Epstein, once he died, that was it,that was it

  • @onlyjoetee so you finally admit that Yoko was the final catalyst in the break up of the Beatles ,good boy Joe,see ya!

  • @PAULOcbi She was the excuse, don't kid yourself.....

  • @PAULOcbi all you deluded beatles fans thinking if it wasn't for Yoko Ono the fab 4 would still be in the studio now making their 150th album blissfully happy etc THATS BULLSHIT!!LOL LOL could have been mary smith or jane doe,or the cat ,or the dog, that goose was cooked a long time before that!!!AND YOU KNOW IT!!!

  • @PAULOcbi the breakup of the beatles was inevitable, regardless of linda or yoko or whoever. They didn't have the dynamics to sustain longterm, the fact they did as long as they did itself was a miracle!!it was basically 3 solo artists glued together!!!its amazing they even went THAT far!!you can tell if a band will last by their inner dynamics.Stones,Led Zep,Queen,U2,cold play etc will last till death because of the inner dynamics,Beatles?3 lead singers?NO CHANCE!!!

  • @onlyjoetee not true, Beatles formed in 1962 a mere 8 years later the breakup occurred, its not a long time, even though its seems like "twenty years"(my quote, lol),if you know bands you know that a lotta bands play together for this amount of time ,8 years,b4 even getting signed let alone conquer the werld like the Beatles...(dont mention U2 or Coldplay those talentless pups shouldnt be mentioned in the same breath as Led or Queen, geez!

  • @PAULOcbi Understand this;just because YOU dont happen to like what some artist does, doesn't mean they are "talentless".To say U2 and Coldplay are talentless is FUCKING STUPID!!The beatles were together as kids way before they became the beatles....

  • @onlyjoetee geez, dont tell me your a fan of U2 or Coldplay!!??!!?? That is the werst rock/pop to come out of Ireland and England since I dont know when,,,it doesnt take much to sell out arenas these days,U2 does it with a short little runt singer with zero charisma ,zero vocal ability and the guitar player coulkdnt play a solo to save his mothers` life, not to mention the songs are so boring and homonymous...same for Coldplay, they define 'homonymous'

  • @PAULOcbi so you don't like them, fine i know plenty of people who think the beatles are rubbish too......

  • @onlyjoetee I luv the Beatles,I dont like JohnLennon ,he was the 'flake' of the bunch, highly overrated,a social rube, and while he was a great songwriter, thats where I draw the line,John was great songwriter but thats it

  • @PAULOcbi what do you mean Lennon was a great songwriter thats it!!thats all he needs to be,THAT WAS HIS JOB!!its like saying my doctor is a great doctor but thats it??what else do you expect?for him to come home and cook your fucking dinner!!!

  • @onlyjoetee well there is JimmyPage,Sting,JimiHendrix,GeorgeHarrison, thats just a few that were not only great songwriters but also great musicians and great producers as well,JohnLennon was not a guitar ace and he definitely was no producer either,

  • @PAULOcbi It was not his gifting to be a "guitar ace" or a producer!!He was not on this earth for that, thats like saying my mechanic is not a very good dentist!!!!He was a brilliant singer, songwriter and band leader, and quite a good guitarist actually, brilliant drawer very very creative person all round....that was his role in the world..

  • @onlyjoetee I agree a mechanic should have no business filling cavities but to say a songwriter has no business producing and mixing his own stuff is ridiculous...your not scoring any points with this point Joe,John was a great 'rhythm guitarist',I can teach you to play rhythm guitar in one day,not so for soloing...cmon joe your sounding a little more uninformed the more you talk..

  • @PAULOcbi what has being a songwriter got to do with mixing and producing??would you go up to a studio engineer and say how come you don't write songs?NO you couldn't teach me rhythm guitar in a day!!it is MUCH MUCH easier to learn scales than chords, songs are made up of chords, rhythm guitar is the essence of songs,a solo is 10% or even less of a song, some songs dont even have solo's..John lennon was a very very good guitarist actually

  • Comment removed

  • @PAULOcbi Being a guitarist is not just about solos, infact soloing is only about 10% of what a guitarist does!!Like he said himself,im an artist, give me any instrument and i'll get something out of it.He was a highly intelligent engaging person, brilliant at all kinds of things, always 2 or 3 steps ahead of most people around him at all times, true creative force, great spirit...

  • @onlyjoetee actually you can learn your 1st position chords and have a look at 'the circle of fifths' on your first lesson and compose your first song quite easily ,not so for soloing ,it requires a lot more practice and studying(modes),rythm guitar is quite easy to learn, not so for lead guitar...yes John had great songs ,he had a pulse on the people,an avatar,a real songwriter

  • @PAULOcbi why are you going on about solo solo??its just scales its the easiest thing in world dot dot dot dot thats all, what fucking circle of fiths??????????????

  • @onlyjoetee geez! no wonder you think Lennon is a 'guitarist' of any note Lennon is not in any guitarists` lists ok..dont talk about music when you dont know music Joe,you dont even know 'thecircle offifths' but your expounding on the guitar ?? geez

  • @PAULOcbi I dont give a fuck about any damn guitarist list, they think guitar playing is just about shredding and who plays the fastest!!!guitar playing is about songs, you play SONGS,thats what we do.i've been a guitarist for 22 years thank you,i don't deal with any circle of any fucking fiths either

  • @onlyjoetee now your cursing Joe ,we were debating quite nicely until now, well anyway ,the fact that Lennon isnt on any guitarists` list is `cos hes` NOT considered a great or even exceptional guitarist, hes a great rhythm guitarist Joe,(so is my brother and he only knows 5 chords),but Lennon is NOT considered a great guitarist like your trying to portray,he was a great songewriter ,thats it.(As far as the 'circle of fifths' goes, its used for chord progressions when writing SONGS Joe,SONGS Joe,

  • @onlyjoetee jus `cos you can strum 'Lola' for your buddies on Sat. night ,after the bar closes and it sounds fine does not a guitarist make ,Joe,lol, lol

  • @PAULOcbi oh pleeeeeeeeeeeese!!

  • @onlyjoetee cmon ,you call learning scales (modes) ,"dot, dot, dot" ,lol, and have never heard of the circle of fifths, your prolly still trying to figure out how to play,'HeyJoe",,lol, jus playing,Ive had 2 guitar lessons in my life and I am fluid in all modes ,(except Locrian, used for Oriental,or Hindu music), so I am quite aware you can be amazing on guitar and not know a werd of what Im talkin` about, but when you tell me modes(scales) is just 'dot, dot, dot,' its funny

  • @PAULOcbi oh pleeeease you're a shite guitarist if one at all and thats obvious, you think going on about fiths and chinese music means anything?please man..

  • @onlyjoetee ,your funny,I know your upset ,(its not evryday you realize your not that well informed)but its nuthin` a few years learning the guitar and reading a few Lennon biographies wont heal,,.goodbye Joe ...

  • @PAULOcbi You can lose interest in something a long long long time before you're actually physically away from it,jobs, marriages, positions etc etc it always end a long time before it ends

  • Harsh george

  • Say what you want. The two albums that came out of these sessions were brilliant, and IMO the best music this band made, and that is saying something.

  • This doesn't have the bit where Paul smacks Ringo

  • @Zebonka HE DOES

  • @Zebonka

    Did that happen?

  • what part of this film filming in this factory

and which one in their apple studio?

(is apple studio the same in EMI?)

  • it's because of you, you got the tambourine wrong that my whole life is a misery, hilarious, and unbelievable conclusive about how things were

  • Ya man that is funny.

  • 35 years ago I lived there, in Twickenham, at age 4 or 5. I remember hippies driving around in Rolls Royce, but never found out who they were.

As far as I know Pete Townshend was living there to and David Gilmour.

    To bad we moved away

  • I think the one thing everyone forgets is they didn't need each other for songs. John, Paul and george all wrote lyrics, music and sang. It's rare, usually you have a lead singer who can't write music.

  • or a lead singer that does most of the writing, and the others enjoy the ride. John, Paul and George all had their own thing going on, w/ John just wanting out, George wanting his own thing, and Paul wanting to keep the band together

  • I think they would have gotten a good live album out of it, like they had intended, if they hadn't filmed. I think the idea to film was too much.

  • 8 in the morning with constant filming.. yeah not conducive to recording.

  • John's comments were very insightful ... and it's ironic because this would be their last days - so it's good in a way that they were captured on film. I think Paul was trying to get the rest of them excited about doing something different, to try and re-energize the group - you can't really blame him for trying.

  • Who's idea was it to have a movie?

  • paul's I think

  • yeah, stupid paul. the only guy happy was paul.

  • yeah it's controversial because they all blame it on eachother when their own negative feelings were what created such tensions,I actually respect Paul because he seemed like he never got angry but I guess itmi ght be cause nobody was telling him what to do

  • They broke up because they could not get it together and play some gigs...too bad, because the roof was great

  • The musical equivalent of the last supper.

  • @jx14aby what a fitting way to put it- it's true in a way- they split and then 2 died

  • and cuz after their manager brian epstein diedd paul tried to be manager, then tried to get his father in law to be manager.

  • They shoulda all moved to Detroit or Memphis at this point, got they asses kicked into gear, improve they chops and go out on the road properly like a band...BUT NOOOOOOOOOO! They had to start bein' bitchy, didn't they?

Oh well, I dig they solo stuff, too...

  • Another Reason Why The Beatles Were Miserable Was Because Yoko Was Present There In Twickenham and they didnt like her there. One of the reasons why they broke up.
