I just had a bike crash & fortunatly if I coul say that ... i'm gonna be stuck in a weelchair for an year :(
I was thinking in buying from a frient an old russin bike because it has a sidecar & u can switch gears manually ;) ... just because I still want to ride ... This "bike" I think is perfect 4 the persons stuck permanently in a weelchair Cause they can feel again the "freedom" the bike is offering u at a much lower risk ;)
I like the Conquest. They are a nice drive even though you sit with your head 6 ft in the air, but how about one we average guys can afford? At $57,000 it's nearly 1/3 the value of my home. $57,000.00 for the trike, plus tax & license bring it to about $62,000...A new manual wheelchair with good wheels can cost $5000
@TheImSuperBoredShow lol, the same thing that happens when someone that can walk crashes, plus... it isn't like they have to worry about never walking again ya know?
Lol! yea, that is true. But as far as the crashing goes, it wouldn't be the same cuz they can't bail off their bikes like normal people can. they just eat it with the bike.
dont you dicks get that you cant put a wheelchair on a normal bike. this is a great idea that promotes paraplegic people to have more independence. i know a bloke who rides a trike , but folds his chair up and it sits beside him.
I think most of you are missing the point. This isn't about YOU - it's about people who are permanently confined to a wheelchair being able to drive their own motorcycle.
@lmuellerjr I'm a quadriplegic, but certainly not "confined" to a wheelchair; nor is anyone else I know that uses a wheel chair as a mobility aid. Your message has good intentions and was well said, but the term "confined" is antiquated and deleterious.
@Quadcam You heard 'em, folks. Don't eff with using incorrect terminology around handicapped folks - or even think about supporting or helping them for that matter. Your efforts will be perceived as an insult and soundly rejected to in front of everyone. Thanks for the embarassment, Quadcam. I'll go back to the 20th century where I belong.
@lmuellerjr "Don't eff with using incorrect terminology around handicapped folks." - Would you call someone with a developmental disability "retarded"? Or is that a term of the past? "- or even think about supporting or helping them for that matter." - *Pavlov's dog*......I commended you - "Your message has good intentions and was well said, but...."
Honestly, "confined" doesn't bother me one iota. But commentary like that does bother some people. And it's education, not criticism....
It's a well designed trike for the application. Personally, I think a slightly more minimalist approach to the design might be desireable, but I'm sure there are reasons for every design aspect.
I'm in a wheelchair and a biker, I personally wouldn't like the look of it, it's too big and awkward looking, I much prefer the standard trike like a Goldwing trike with hand controls and room on the back for my folded chair.
you insensitive cunt. punish. i spent a lot of time in wheelchair. you have no idea how restricting it is. sure it needs a bit more styling but this is what the world needs more of. the freedom to do what you want, if only i had this.

I would imagine less than what happens if you crash on a motorcycle.

Seems to me like the best vehicle a person in a wheelchair can have. Looks much easier than the vans with their slow mechanic ramps. COOL ! ! !

I want one for my wheelchair! I think it's available through motability now, shame I just got a new motability car.

Looks like a melding of a motorcycle and a f1 race car. Seems a bit to big to really enjoy.

put your self in a chair and then think how great this would be it owuldnt matter if it was the size of a truck, its promoting independence

And seeing as I forgot to ask this, how is the drivetrain connected to the rear wheels?
