Malkavz, that is the "Moses Supposes" tap dance routine from the movie "Singing in the Rain". The dancers are Gene Kelly and Donald O'Connor. That is quite possibly the greatest tap dancer routine ever captured on film. Inarguably one of the top 2 or 3 but the Nicholas Brothers were also dazzling.

You,ve named only three stars - what about others? I'm a huge fan of them all (Bing, Fred and Gene) but what about Donald O'Connor and Vera-Ellen? Forgotten? Not for me...
hi...was wondering if thats Cyd with Fred at 2:30 and who's dancing with Fred at 3:45...looks kinda like Ginger but dont think so...Greatest dance pair had to be Fred and Ginger...at least in my opinion...great vid though
At first when the vid started playing and I heard the music I thought "Oh no, not another one of those." but as I kept watching out of curiosity I actually liked it. I think that Cader1dris2 really fit the music and the filmfragments together very nicely. Well done and thank you for posting this!
aw thank you for watching it :) i really apprecieate your comment :) I made this video a long time ago it seems now, and I remember it took me ages, if i made another one though I would make it shorter and better quality. But anyway thanks again :)
errr the 3rd clip is from meet me in st.louis but i think the fourth clip is the one your talking about the one with the guy and the girl in the yellow dress- thats from "white Christmas" I dont know who he's called he doesnt have a main part in it only that dance routine. does that answer your question?
Theresa64 No evidence for your barbie doll claim. It is an Interesting comparison. But, according to available data Ruth Handler, inventor of the barbie doll, returned from a trip to Europe with a "Lilli" doll, modeled after a character in a German comic strip. Handler spent some time designing a doll similar to Lilli, and even hired a designer to make realistic doll clothes. The result was the Barbie doll (named in honor of the Handlers' daughter), a pint-sized model of the "girl next door."
The clips of the two dancing are from "White Christmas" starring Bing Crosby ect. The girl in the yellow dress is called Vera-Ellen and in the film she dances with that man in two dances but he is uncredited, so I dont know who is but he wasn't a main charcter in the film- But Vera-Ellen was. -thanks for watching!
Just found out his name is John Brascia he was a dancer in most of the films he appeared in. Little bit of trivia, Vera Ellen`s character in White Christmas is what the Barbie doll look was based on!!!
