@crashtubes the good ole USA WHEN IN THE DAY WE PLAYED INSTRUMENTS.....NOT LIKE TODAY WHERE ASSHOLES GET UP ON STAGE WITH A TURNTABLE STEAL REAL MUSIC FROM PERFORMERS LIKE THEM AND GRAB THEIR NUTS THINKING THEY ARE COOL.. RAPPERS SUCK !!!! THIS IS A REAL/TRUE MUSICIAN
Good music is not restricted to age or culture. I was just 8 years old when I fell in love with the Doobies, and I'm 44 now.
I have had a great many "love affairs with different styles in-between those years, many are inarguably better than them, but I always go back to the Doobies style when I want pure, simple, uncomplicated great music!
@scubaseven7 Wow crash! I'm 41 as well, and I usually listen to R&B and rap music but I tell you what, great music is great music! It's a celebration dawg! This is GREAT MUSIC! Enjoy!!!
thanks so much for posting this. does anyone kno when this is from? i always enjoyed the doobies. i feel, however, they have never captured the sound they had when cornelius bumpus sang this (and other) song. but il also be quick to mention that whatever tom johnston lacks in vocal comparison to bumpus, he easily makes up in stage presence.
@Cokoholicar sounds like you have issues. it's dec 1 did you cash your welfare check in? don't forget to go to the liquor store. nobody is is talking to you
Dude if I had money for liquor I wouldn't be behind a freakin monitor, I'd be wasted as shit... so there, however I do find your statements pretty douche-like and pretentious, really it seems you're very full of yourself. I don't understand the concept of going to concerts, I am sorry dude but I think you get an even better experience listening to music at home with some really good speakers... the only thing that happens when I go to concerts everyone get drunk
So every bar and club band has covered either this or 'China Grove' and the morons at the R&R Hall of Fame have REM, Madonna & Patti Smith in. These guys haven't even been nominated. Must be nice living is their world and trying to re-create the history of Rock & Roll.
