Great review although some opinions might differ slightly, I truly appreciate your comments and the quality of your video. You have a gift, don't hide it under a bushel basket. Thanks
Hey, thanks for the honest review! I have to say, i agree with you on the vox...not my strongest, but I'm not a strong singer to begin with. And yes, this is my least "insane" (and least funny, IMHO) song i've written for the competition...but I'm glad you enjoyed it, at least somewhat!
I figure that honesty helps everybody in this competition - it helps competitors like you figure out what aspects to improve upon next time, and it helps me figure out why I did or didn't like the submissions. Votes can't tell you anything but who wins the popularity contest.
Yeah, I think I'll eventually get around to reviewing every round of every MoSF. Next will be 3R1, then 3F and Extras (Red Nose and the other special coming up).
I've been listening and voting since MoSF1R1, but I finally had the means to make what I wanted this 'season'.
I'm glad you didn't take offense, as none was intended. I know you are a better artist than what was submitted, and I want to hear what you can make without time constraints (simply being able to put something together before the deadline is an accomplishment - be proud of that). Creativity flows slowly with me, and that's one of several reasons why you probably won't see me competing...
what i did was done in 2 hours between school and work. lyrical writing of verse 1 and the chorus were done the day before, and the rest of the writing was put into those 2 hours... i didn't think anything would get done at all. Haha.
My first instinct was actually to write a solo song like Crabbydad and Covenant, but my hat's off to them for pulling it off admirably better than I could've.
I think you made the right decision. Hazen said he had the movie idea too, and then scrapped it (which is also probably the right choice). It's hard enough to make a funny song about spoilers, but it's even harder when 20% of the field wants to do the same thing.
Overall, I'm very pleased with the submissions this round. Almost everyone improved in some way, and that's really what this competition is all about.
I'm excited to hear what people will make for the Final Round!
Again, great concise reviews! I'm impressed. You've earned another subscriber.

Any chance you'll go back and review round 1? I'd be interested in hearing what you think of (IMHO) my best song this competition...

Yeah, my vocals were a bit weak . . . and my mixing abilities suck.
Oh, well, I'm still proud with my effort.

I'd appreciate the "Pretend it never happened" thing... I actually tried to get Ken to pull this one from the contest after I finished and submitted
