Bushido Blade 1 is still one of my favorite games of all time. The fact that you had no health bar means the match could take 5 seconds or 5 minutes, depending on how skilled and lucky you may be to get that one strike to end it. Being injured to the point to where you have to use one arm, or be forced to crawl on your knees made it so much more different and original and in my opinion made it one of the best games of it's time. With exception to the gun dude, i really wish he wasn't playable.

I saw a review of this game one time. Apparently it actually has a pretty advanced damage system. Like if you get a glancing hit to the leg you'll start limping, you can damage an oponents arm and it will become usless or even cut off there arms and legs entiarly.

I LOVED the bit with the gun, that was epic. I've always wonted to see something like that in a fighting game.
