Interesting video. My son and I were reading about Hatshepsut and Tutmosis III today. He wasn't young when this battle happened - I believe by the time his stepmother died, he was in his 30s. As someone else pointed out already, he also wasn't inexperienced. He had risen to commander in chief - and he'd been educated with the scribes and priests.
BBC has an article about him & his stepmother - you could probably find it by doing a google search: Hatshepsut and Tuthmosis: a royal feud?
This is a finger snip away from that what the bible called harmargeddon! The Kabalah says: a reincarnation of Thutmosis III. will be the next messiah..., the Jesaja Offenbarung says: The Third Sargon will arrive in Germany and will bring the deversity together..., the Hopi Indians mean: There come a men with a blond mustard - and his name is: Standing Little White Bear...
haha oh, i think that came across as a bit rude sorry! well im learning about Hatshepsut in school now, and i heard she was Thutmose III's tutor, and trained him up a lot, when she ruled she let him control the armies whilst she dealt with issues like trade, restoring buildings.. so he already had a lot of experience when he came to rule.. well that's what many historians say now.. they had like a co-regency going even though both were kings anyway..
Interesting, I wasn't aware of that. That makes me wonder at the validity of the documentary I got the footage from, the same place I got the information from. Granted, it was made in 2003 so maybe the information is out of date. Who knows.
Megiddo was his first objective because it was a key point and had to be taken at all costs. When he reached Aaruna Thutmose held a council with all his generals. There were two routes to Megiddo a long, easy and level road around the hills, which the enemy expected Thutmose to take, and a route which was narrow, difficult and cut through the hills
kadesh it is Ancient city, western Syria. Located just southwest of modern Hims, it was seized by the Egyptian king Thutmose III in the 15th century BC. It remained an outpost of Egypt until it came under Hittite rule in the mid-14th century BC. The Egyptian king Seti I captured the city, and in 1275 BC it was the scene of a battle between Ramses II and the Hittite Muwatallis. After invasion by the Sea Peoples c. 1185 BC, Kadesh disappeared from history
Northern of what..!!! there was no shit called Israel at that time, lier.., Mageddo was a city in Syria.

@PieRowManiac
Pharaonic army was based on quality, not quantity
Are selected according to criteria of combatants is difficult and certainly not a group of farmers

@buttman1986 I believe there were three roads; two of which were long and easy, and the third one as you say was difficult and narrow.
