  • Umm gravity is greatest is on the surface because more mass is on one side of you, once you start going down the masses on each side equalize (less net force)

  • As long as the ball is not at the centre of the earth there's still more mass on one side than on the other side. Gravity will decrease but even 0.00001 G still means acceleration.
