this is sick. apparently we have to wait for someone to get their face blown off & have that story become top news before we can be seen as equal. not for nothing, but when military people tell me they died for my rights, i remind them that i don't have the same rights they have, so they died for someone else. maybe this one guy, this one soldier, via his tragic death, can actually, accidentally, represent his people.
God bless us all... The Wilfahrts, you're in my heart and mind, stay strong.. you're my inspiration... And I agree that it's true and very true, like discrimination and others as such, HOMOPHOBIA is the rotten disease of any community/society!
Two wonderful parents. My heart goes out to you for you loss. I am gay and also a veteran of the USAF. I always wondered why I was suppose to hide my true self while at the same time, I was expected to die for the freedom of this country.
I am sorry for his lost. I praise his parents for standing up and believing in human rights equality. His parents last words left me speechless, wow. My support and second that as well.
It's sad that he fought for the rights of people who don't believe he deserves the same equal rights as they do. America! Home of the brave, NOT land of the free.
this made me almost cry and made me angry. as a 23 y/o gay man i will no longer accept being a second class citizen. i work. i pay taxes. i support all the str8 peeps on welfare. i have a right to marry the man i love...when we decide to..NO ONE has the right to tell me who i can marry! u are no better than me and no one put u in power over me. we are equal so get over it..ur era is over...NO MORE! i will not allow it!!!
@Pauly69s I am a 21 year old gay man and i do plan on marriage when i find that right guy....I agree with your comment completely. I am lucky to live in a state that allows same sex marriage.... still won't have equal rights as a heterosexual.....America is suppose to be the land of the free and the brave and I say Andrew was brave and stood up for what he believed....wish things changed to better suit him
@Pauly69s Right On!! Don't give up. But just incase in a few years the U.S. still decides to live in the 18th century you are always welcome to move to Canada, where everyone is equal no matter what race, religion or sexual orientation you are.
I had the HONOR of meeting both Lori and Jeff Wilfarht for a brief moment in the bleachers at the Minneapolis Pride Parade this year and I was so nervous but I gave my thanks for their son's service and thanked them for their advocacy. The Wilfahrts are really what Minnesota is about, those who come to this state to visit become keenly aware of it too. I am hoping we can beat back this bigoted amendment to our constitution, I have faith this state will be one of the first to do it.
Toutching video. I am a strong supporter of same sex marriage as well as full and I mean full equil rights for the gay community. I am a 30 year old transgenderist as well as a minister. I do not understand why religious groups do not accept sciences explination that gays are born gay.
@JohnJoe18 You are stupid and your comment is stupid. Your friends probably even call you stupid to your face! You should listen to them and try not to post such stupid things on YouTube, because everyone will know you are stupid!
Nothing in this video suggests that everyone become homosexual. Nothing in supporting equal rights for homosexuals suggests that heterosexuals magically become homosexual. People are born heterosexual or homosexual and do not change by choice.
Thank you to everyone involved in making/posting this.

It's time for homophobia to become as socially acceptable as being in the Klan. Shun all homophobes out of your social life.
