for all the morons commenting here this looks like a video demonstrating the mk44 minigun. It's a 7.62mm gattling gun firing about 60 rounds per second and the "lazer" effects are caused by a high tracer to ball ammo ratio. If a lazer is used at all it is for sighting purposes. The USA is not the only country to have and use these guns and they are not new having been around since the 60/70's.

It's called a mini gun it fires 7.62 ammo theres 1 tracer at every 5th round so there is 4 bullets between every tracer you see. If you fly over a football field from endzone to endzone firing you will leave a bullet in every square inch of the field.

Biggest Gatling gun is in the A-10 Warthog which was designed to kill tanks by penetrating the thinner topside or damaging the engine area.

As for the tracer rounds, not lasers. They're for targeting practice and they usually load them every 5 to 10 rounds so there'a s lot more going on that you're not seeing.
