Well, Im both a documentary film maker as well as a fictional film maker as you can see from the variety of clips I have up. Investigations are authentic, I let things happen as they happen. Likewise my fictional pieces are scripted. I love Stephen King so I try to give both styles that kind of scary feel in editng and music. It keeps them interesting.
