@rrz518 It doesnt, it is free and available for flying blue members, and if theres space you can ask them to move you into a seat during boarding, or at check in.
@merlimax Concorde was stopped because it wasnt economical to operate with higth fuel prices, not because of the accident, which wasnt Air Frances fault really.
Hahaha I love airfrance the cabin crew is very friendly every time I go on air france! Every time I travel I literally allways use airfrance and I love how when u get on 2 cabin crew members say hello in french and I say the same back to them and they r allways smiling!
@celineprettygirl I'm kind of medium on Air France. I agree with your comments in the boarding stage, although the inflight service is rather shoddy (in F and coach) compared with other carriers, even Delta. It's not uncommon to get the feeling that they definitely give French speaking passengers more attention/better service. OTOH, their aircraft are great, good routes, I'm OK with CDG as a transfer point, etc., so I'm not an AF hater.
@rrz518 agreed and what i really like about airfrance is that their planes are very comfortable and clean and its pretty quiet on the plane so I enjoy it quite well but when you get to the CDG airport the agents and people that work there are agressive, arogant, disrespectful, and stuborn cunts i mean avoid it if you can!
I don't really know exactly the number of 747-400 Air France still have ( I think F-GEXA, F-GEXB, F-GITE, F-GITF, F-GISC, F-GISD, F-GITH, F-GITI and F-GITJ are still in service ) but at this time, only three of them are equiped with Personal TV onboard. These are the three last aircraft in the 747 fleet including F-GITH, F-GITI and F-GITJ. I've heard somewhere that Air France will change and update all 747 cabins to keep some of in the fleet until 2016 or something.
Overmore I would like to say that the configuration of Air France's Boeing 747-400 is quite different comparing to other airline.
In fact, the upper deck is composed of Y ( economy "voyageur seats" ) with more legroom and personnal TV on the entire of the AF's 744 fleet. Business Class ( Affaires ) is located under this one, on the main deck at the in the front of the cabin, in the nose if you prefer.
omg that's so complicated but interesting. French people are mostly arrogant and the young generation is going to be more and more racists. I've grown with French people and I know it.
On United's 747 the upper deck is first class - Or Business Class :) Got to sit in the last row of it with my dad when we went to Germany for a Medical Conference
to be on the top deck, do you have to go first class or anything? or is it just economy and if you come early enough to reserve a seat on the top level?
No, first class is a different service. The upstairs seats are had by either paying extra for them, or by being an AF or partner elite customer, ie. platinum or similar. FYI, they don't cost that much, and aside from being in a little private cabin, the seats are really not that much better than regular coach.
@rrz518 But you hav eyour own tv, at the " dungeons" it is a small tv in the front for everybody! besides de snacks and beverage upstairs... Well at least in the older aircraft ( I fly a lot from GIG-CDG) and i dont mind paying extra 70 euros for that, afterall it is almost an 11-hour flight!
@ShawnJohnsonFan1616 depends on how the airline configurates the plane, in this video Air France has economy class in the upperdeck, never seen that before
