  • Omg, That looks so cool! I did a gingerbread house but i like ordinary ones, The little gingerbread men cant have all that :) Those gingerbread men must have alot of money for that house Lol!

  • if i created this, i wouldn't be able to get myself to eat it...it's so perfect.

  • LOL I'D LIKE TO LIVE IN THE HOUSE THERE LOL HOW LONG DID IT TAKE TO DO THAT?

  • aaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwsssssssssooooooooommmmmmmmeeeeeeeeeeeeee its so big!!

  • This house is amazing-- its made so well and has such an absolutely beautiful design! Thanks for sharing-- Happy Holidays from Tea!

  • Wow! Thanks.

  • This is absolutely amazing, great job

  • EPIC

  • fantastic :D

  • The gingergbread houses are decorated using thick royal icing which is really just egg whites and icing sugar. I use Wilton brand color paste for all the colors. Liquid colors will NOT work; you willl never achieve a deep color with them and they will thin the consistency needed for piping the decorations. Hope this was helpful, Barry.

  • @barrycparsons why do they call royal icing royal icing????

  • because it's really thick

  • @skyepie98 ok then so it kinda acts like a glue?

  • how did you get it black?

i realy need a to know

  • Well I made two of these at the same time over the course of a week. I'd say I spent over 20 hours on them both,

  • How long did it take you to make this Ginger Bread house?

  • Hi StrawberryFlower2009. You will find all you need to know in a very detailed post on my blog.

rockrecipes.ca Just do a search for gingerbread house

I notice you dont eat the houses but is the dough you use edible? I am going to make a halloween house and would like to work on it over a week or so.... Do I need a recipe with no eggs? How long can I work on gingerbread before it goes off...Thank you xxx

  • Not being stupid, ive never ever ever eaten or seen a gingerbread house.. stupid british families.. How do you eat them? Do you just rip pieces off? :/

  • well when i make a ginger bread house they can only be built for some time before the icing falls off .... or wears of.... then i just sorta eat it step by step like all the candy's on the roof and all that .. you kinow whaty io mean

  • It sounds like such a waste, Id feel really guilty going round eating someones gingerbread house D: specially if it looked like the one in the video.

  • LMAO we did one year me got as many pices as we can to the count of 3 and the whole house was gone

  • @missShrimpyFOOL i like to just punch holes in the so little pieces come off. (:

  • how would you eat it???????????????

    id feel so gilty!

still thats the prittiest hous iv ever seen....whe it comes to food i mean!

  • Haha. More likely like "Gingerbread Mansion." Lol.

  • best gingerbreak hose i've ever seen!!!

  • The houses are beautiful - how do you color them??? Colored icing??? I am amazed. I have just started to make gingerbread houses - and I am happy if I can make a regular one (four walls and a roof) ;) What do you use as glue?

  • royal icing. 3 whipped egg whites and 5 c. confectioners (powdered) sugar. put em in a bag and off u go! :)

  • I'm from mexico and i will like to know how yu do the gingerbread, your are artist if cooking, here in mexico we call them "artesanos gastronomicos"

  • No we never eat them. They are usually hanging around until Easter and by then they are too old anyway. Eating them doesn't appeal to me in the least I'm afraid. If I want gingerbread I'll make gingerbread men.

  • do you eat them? if so how?

  • These look like the Colorado Commons in Monrovia, California.

  • St. John's, Newfoundland is a looooooong way from there! ;)

  • Omg never eat them thats mental waste of time send me a message and ill eat them!

  • thatxwas the worst 2 minutes of my life

  • WOW! You must have a pretty slack life!! LOL!

  • mines always made by hand but its like a little square bottom and two pieces as a roof.... no point wasting time when we eat it on boxing day =P

  • Guess what i am doing right now people..?

    Eating one of those

  • We never eat them.

  • LOL I am less hesitant to eat a gingerbread house that I didn't maticulously decorate and make by hand. I buy them ;) IDK exactly where gingerbread competitions are held each year but they are a serious business as the prize money is usually substantial. You will get a chance to see some of the most spectacular works of art and ingenuity firsthand. The downfall is cost and planning of transportation. It'd be an excellent learning experience if you are passionate about your hobby :)

  • Wow! Picture perfect! Happy holidays! Do you compete? I would consider it if you don't already ;)

  • Compete? Where?

  • Wow, this is even better than my attempt at a gingerbread house... You should still check it out though!

  • Holy!!! Great Art you Can Eat! Amazing Work. It Don't Even Look Like GingerBread Houses at The end.

How Can I Get My Hands On One Of Those?

  • fabioulas job lee
