  • why did i watch this. i'm crying now.

  • What i would give to go back and see them live in there pime..... So incredible!

  • fucking phenomenal

  • Now theres one in the spotlight, he don't look right to me, get him up against the wall.

  • Wow! Saw them in Houston back in the day. What memories.

  • never liked this album or period of Pink Floyd even if it's genius. Roger was a dick towards his friends :). but to have a video footage of this 80-81 tour is priceless! \m/

  • If anyone wrote a song like this now, everyone would hate them

long live pink and their Nazi Jackets

  • nick mason fucking rules on the drums

  • 0:49

The bass seems highly macabre >:)

  • Guys chill, they didn't mean to dislike this video... They were just too stoned to realize what they did!

  • are there 2 queers in the theater tonight.....put them up against the wall

  • LOUD!

  • i'm seventeen years old .

what i would give to be able to go back in time and see this live. be at this specific show.

i don't believe in god but god bless these guys.

    their talents are truly otherworldly.

  • @partypotato94

    >i dont believe in god but god bless these guys

    >but god bless these guys

    >but god bless

    >god

You can't have it both ways dawg

  • 2 dislikes? they dont look right to me, get 'em up against the wall! AGAINST THE WALL!!!!

  • It would have been soooo goddamn fun to be in the audience during this song XD lucky bastards >.<

  • IF I HAD MY WAY ID HAVE ALL OF YA SHOT!!

  • Can someone explain to me what the meaning behind the surrogates dressed as the band next to the real band? Im a total dumbass and dont fully understand it x(

Roger Waters, that genius... Its hard to keep up with the brilliant things he does!

  • @Zoso62509 I saw your post and asked myself the same Question and believe it to be symbolic of one's other side. The whole album is pure mental genius...

  • I am In the Flesh as we speak. Its a change of character from who I was, but I cannot go back now, not after the way I was treated and the things I was shown.

  • @Stracci99 yeah. blue waffle fucked me up bad too, man

  • Roger has an amazing stage presence. It already showed in the early Pink Floyd concerts of the 60's, but he's such a magnificent bastard here, it's wonderful. Love that guy.

  • "Are there any queers in the theater tonight?"

  • @wiz9496 Get em up against the wall.

  • Roger Waters is so good even youtube thinks this is off of the album

  • un seul mot:magnifique

  • FUCK I WISH I WAS THERE

  • @PinkFloydrulez jesus christ me too man holy fuck my passion for this band is off the fucking wall

  • @wantsumbacon

Well, technically, they are against the wall...

    ;D

  • All I want is for Waters to release this concert to the public. Such a shame he wont.

  • so richard plays on every track from "is there anybody out there"

but not everywhere on "the wall" album?

  • WHO LET ALL THSI RIFF RAFF INTO THE ROOM? -Richard Obrien looks around and then begins to walk out- lol

  • Very clever. I lol'd.

  • Now I really hate seeing the unending mass of comments concerning the number of dislikes of a certain video such as '394 stupid people' or '678 commies' and what not, but I sadly just thought of one I'm surprised I've never seen under an 'In the Flesh' video I am feeling rather hypocritical today so I'll share the immature comment.

There's two people in the spotlight.

I know, It's horrible, but whatever. LONG LIVE ROGER WATERS!

  • Oh man, i was born too fucking early. DAMN

  • they say roger put the fascist dictator part in because it was one of pinks helucinations but i think he just wanted to wear that sick ass nazi jacket

  • @EVHfan5001

    LOL that's a good one!!

  • @EVHfan5001 yeah the Nazis were dicks, but dammit could they dress cool.

  • @EVHfan5001 hes not wearing the jacket. Pink Floyd would have a tribute band come out and play In the Flesh? and In the Flesh while wearing masks hence the lyrics "they sent us along as a surragate band" and "youll just have to claw your way through this disguise"

  • @iamobeliskquake That was in "In the flesh?" Where they had an old touring bassist wear a mask and act like Roger, but I'm sure you can clearly see that when they perform "In the flesh", it's Roger.

  • I SAW THIS LIVE AND DAMN NEAR SHIT MY PANTS

  • @RayManzarekGod lol same, it was so amazing....

  • @ShasoMontyr I actually did break down in tears upon seeing my seats, we were almost right next to the stage... I paid over 80 dollars UNDER face value for them.

  • @RayManzarekGod , i was like a quarter of the audience far from roger :D

  • @ShasoMontyr Nice! I probably was too... I was blessed enough to have seats in the lowest level (Not floor though. I hate those.) Its a good thing I just waited until 3 days before the show to get the tickets :D

  • Just saw this show in Ft Lauderdale the 14th, it's amazing to see it from 30 yrs ago.

  • @killuall81 If I knew it wouldve been that good I wouldve driven from Sarasota to Ft Lauderdale to see it 3 times.

  • the begining of the end

  • such horrible video, i know ...we weren't as advanced back then and yet im confused...how come the SOUND is soooooo goood, would've loved to have had the opportunity to see roger waters and david gilmore , nick mason and rich wright, the mostly WHOLE band on the road TOGETHER, such a shame whatever happened between them (if anything even did happen), they could of done SO MUCH MORE!!

  • @babyjo21166 the sound actually is updated from the album "is there anybody out there?" wich is from this tour and its more recent. i got the dvd that didnt have the updated sound and the sound was horrible...

  • they dont sound like shit live like most bands

  • Does anyone else see how Pink Floyd is hiding behind those other "People" those look a likes look they're robots, they're scarier than waters himself

  • @guitarheroguy5 they're the "surogate band" that Waters mentions in the song.

  • did anyone else see the floyd hiding those other "clones" of floyd are scary

  • Dokomon, it is sick how cool you are. I've been dying to see this footage for 30 years now ...

  • I saw this show 2/27/80 in Nassau Col. It was fucking mindblowing! Anyhoo the comment about the guy talking at the beginning of the song. This character came out on the stage at the beginning of the show and the start of the second half of the show and announced to the crowd to NOT make any excess noise, applause, no photography etc.. While he spoke his apperance "aged" and his voice changed and then he dropped thru a hole (elevator) into the floor !

    Fucking mindblowing!

  • By far, the best song to perform live in the history of music.

  • Why aren't concerts like this anymore? Awesome pyrotechnics, great stage shows.. I went to see Iron Maiden in New York this year and there were no pyros or a great stage show, long live Pink Floyd!

  • @LiamOlivera There are concerts like this, today. For example, Roger Water's tour of the The Wall Live of this year is filled with pyrotechnics and effects...yeee

  • @LiamOlivera Long live the Floyd

  • Roger's just like: Yeeaah, I run this motherfucker.

  • nothing fucking as good as that, with the exception of the 2010 Roger tour!

  • It made me jump when it first came in, absolutely fabulous. Nick's drumming, David's guitar, Roger's singing, its' all fantastic!

  • MAJESTIC, MONUMENTAL, COSMIC and so on and so forth

  • i just saw this live a few hours ago. i can die now

  • @MrReverendgreen

    Great concert, wasn't it!!!!

  • The suddenly intro its so fucking amazing

  • im going to see THIS sunday :D

  • @ShasoMontyr youll love it bro. i sure did

  • @cubsfands29 OMG it was amazing!!!

  • I never understood why they taped all of these concerts so poorly... its like they hired the video club at some high school to handle these shows.... what a shame

  • @amatang The reason is this.... It was 1980 and Roger, David, and Nick LOST money on every show they performed. They knew they would not make money with this show so odds are in 1980 they never even thought of DVD sales 30 years later.

The only one that made money was Rick because he was not part of Pink Floyd and was a hired hand at that point.

It was a mistake not having super high quality recordings but that is how it is.

  • I do feel the space cadet glow...

  • @freddie18100 pink floyd is the best band ever

  • que pinta de pringao tenia gilmour.. pero que puto maquina, JODER

  • Crediting for Pink Floyd seemed tricky. A bandmember could contribute largely to a song yet not receive credit because they didn't write the lyrics or largely compose the song structure. Gilmour wrote a huge chunk of the guitar in this song as well as "Hey You" but it was still credited to just Waters. This happened to Rick Wright in "Animals"(he was hugely important in the structure of Sheep and Dogs)

  • @freddie18100 I like both

  • @freddie18100 wow cool! another freddie who likes pink floyd!! hell yeah man

  • What are the fake band members made of? They look like clay. Or are they real people?

  • What are the fake band members made of? They look like clay.

  • @PinkTheFloydable they are made of people who dislike this video...

  • @PinkTheFloydable they fake band are wearing masks and are a bit stiff.

  • The two people who disliked this video can get up against The Wall!

  • @edschin .the 2 people who didnt like this were probably deaf and blind, so it cant really be helped

  • @ARDUNNO maybe they were just blind...and they liked the music...they just couldnt see the like button.

  • @edschin they r either jewish or a quiere

  • @edschin Justin Bieber fans

  • @edschin

THROW THE BLAH BLAH OR LETS NEVER GROW UP MOTIF ARTISTS AGAINST THE WALL!

  • is it me or does roger waters look like an emo Napoleon Bonaparte?

  • pink floyd es dios

  • 2 people shouldn't have been let into the room.

  • @absaroka100 hey man smile when you say that!

    or we wont giva-a-chuck!

  • Comment removed

  • Epic.

  • what is this song talking about?

  • @easynh just watch the wall movie and you will know

  • @cavealieniv so i was pretty much right then?

  • Comment removed

  • No one can put on a show like Pink Floyd....

It's rare that there are concerts that are almost as fucking amazing as the music itself....

    This one's smoking a joint!

  • That one looks Jewish, and that one's a coon!

  • @TRUEMAN8919 Dave Gilmour composed it. Roger waters wrote the lyrics.

  • @stellaCURRYsorted

Not true. Gilmour co-wrote three songs (Young Lust, Comfortably Numb, and Run Like Hell), Waters wrote everything else.

  • I like Gilmore because he doesn't play for speed, he plays for soul

  • the beginning scared the living crap out of me lol

  • @DoubleTimeBand Listening to this through headphones on full blast is amazing. lol

  • amazing album and kick ass song!

  • even Chuck Norris is afraid of Roger Water

  • @ballerkid0721 no doubt about it every one is cause roger waters rules the land hes waiting for the worms aka chuck norris

  • @ballerkid0721 Roger waters is the only one that can challenge chuck norris on earth....

    forgive my english

  • Comment removed

  • @ballerkid0721 LOL Best comment in 113 days! Grats!

  • @ballerkid0721

    Hahaha!!! That's Cool!!! XD XD

No one can resist Chuck Norris.

But Chuck Norris cant Resist Roger Waters!!

  • @ballerkid0721 lmfao, that made my day!

  • @ballerkid0721 lol :D

  • @ballerkid0721 Soooo true, don't show this to little kids they'll have Roger Waters nightmares for the rest of their life, like me and I'm 23

  • @ballerkid0721 DAMN RIGHT HE IS!!

  • @ballerkid0721 and roger water is afraid of david gilmour....so who is the REAL winner here?

  • @StimulousII Roger Waters, afraid of David Gilmour? Come on, Roger can kick David's bald ass whenever he wants.

  • @herbleus Honestly the only reason waters wins is because Waters is the scariest/ugliest asshole alive

  • @StimulousII Bullshit. Roger is a much scarier man than David, I mean, listen to the lyrics!

  • @ballerkid0721 What about Bruce Lee and the undertaker? they're afraid of Waters too, I wonder if Roger knows that he causes nightmares?

  • This is how a world class band should be. Do you see Muse today? Ok, nothin' to do with that.

  • who's the guy at the beginning? lol.

  • @DanW900 master of ceremonies , he also start spaeking at the "in the flesh?" . download the pink floyd the wall is there anibody outhere

  • @MrAndysalina5 He is not a virtuoso, he never did awesome fast solos that required a shitload of drums and cymbals and all of his drumming can be easily replicated. Just play steadily.

And oh, I never said that Mason sucked or wasn't good for the band. All I said is that you can replicate the drumming and the keyboards, even the bass and the guitar (but guitar would be the hardest), but you can't mess with the voices.

  • Wait... Which one's the surrogate band? The guys doing backing vocals or the fellows non-chalantly playing their instruments behind the real band? O_o

  • @AStopMotionChannel the latter

  • @MrAndysalina5

    Thank you :)

  • i love roger's crazy eyes.

  • What about Syd???

  • @HousesOfTheHolyV ummmm, he left in 1968

  • Can't wait to see this show live Next year.

  • pink floyd isn't pink floyd with only roger waters. the man is very good at what he does, but pink floyd only exists with all the members. now that richard wright passed away, it is impossible to make pink floyd again.

  • @foolzgoolz you can replace the keyboard player. You can replace the drummer. You can't replace the voices and the guitar playing.

  • @PanekPL ......No youre wrong! maybe for this song you could......But Nick masons drumming style and Rick wrights KEYBOARDS on most Pink Floyd Albums....are the bigger part of PINK FLOYD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! R.I.P Richard Wright!!!!!

  • @PanekPL nonsense...

  • @PanekPL actually if someone replaced nick mason with like John Bonham, the band would be shitty. Nick is the perfect drummer for the band

  • @MrAndysalina5 I agree. That is not to say John Bonham is a bad drummer (he's actually an excellent drummer), but Nick Mason was the perfect drummer with a band like Pink Floyd.

  • how can I ever forget.... I saw them in '92 at Sun Devil Stadium while I a student at ASU. My girlfriend then, a hot blonde with a graduate degree made my night complete. However, the little house she lived in was known to have a scorpion or two hanging around, literally, so it always made reluctant to stay regardless of the rewards. Memorable !

  • four of the best albums ever are dark side of the moon, wish you were here, animals and the wall. roger waters is a genius. i would love to have seen the floyd during any tour, but especially 73-81

  • @eric15746 I agree about the bit about the tours. But wouldn't it be interesting to see one of those strange concerts in the early days where Syd Barrett would, reportedly, do nothing except stare into space and do all kinds of strange things? :P

  • I can't wait till Roger Waters brings this to Phoenix.

  • greatest album, and this is the best song off of it. Can't wait to see Roger or his surrogate band perform this in 2010.

  • are there any queers in the theatre tonight? get them up against the wall :P OKAY ROGER

  • roger waters best song writer best composer best rock genius

  • That guy in the beginning. Is he talking weird and distorted on purpose? My belief is he is the guy from the frst song of the show 'In the Flesh' who was saying stuff like 'please no firecrackers, etc.' Also, I believe he is now talking odd and incomprehensible, because that's what Roger's character Pink is hearing is his isolated, drug-induced world. Does anyone understand what im saying?

  • @TheRockNRollFan Yes. At this point the whole concert is supposed to feel robotic and mechanical, a band just going through the motions. He's also doing what Hitler used to do at a Nazi rally, deliberately delaying his speech and working the crowd up into impatience, so that by the time he was ready to speak, they were fanatical listeners.

  • does anyone know if this show is on dvd or vhs?

  • @Gold753 yeah. you grew up with a penis with the size of an ant -.-

  • Actually not everybody who has grown up in a string quartet has a little pop. So your reasons weren't altogether committed. But I accept that you like it. What are you saying is that, if one gets immune to this kind of sound one may find it difficult to appreciate softer types of sound?

  • @Gold753 it's a concert dumbass...

  • @Gold753 I assume you're being sarcastic. Quoting the Waters/Barrett interview.

  • @Gold753 I love how people thumbed down this comment not realizing what you were actually quoting. LONG LIVE PINK FLOYD

  • @Gold753 because it the way they like it ITS CALLED ROCK SHOW

  • Temáso,

    uno de los mejores,

    Grande Pink Floyd.

  • Temáso,

    uno de los mejores,

    Grande Pink Floyd.

  • So ya

    Thought ya

Might like to go to the show nananana :D GoooooooD

  • Wait is that really Roger wasnt he wearing the number 1 shirt at the start of the concert ? 3:32 ?

  • No. They had guys with masks come out at the beginning and at this part to confuse people. On "Hey You" they started playing during intermission while people were still in line and the houselights were still up to confuse them. I love it.

  • @blizzofozz

    yeah that's still him.

he just threw on the jacket when the band was behind the wall.

    sweet jacket too

  • you can get a heart attack while trying to understand whats that guy @ beginin is saying :D

  • @TomcioRomicio83, i turned my speakers as loud as i could to hear what he was saying, then when the first note was played i nearly fell out of my chair.

  • one of my FAVE pink floyd songs, mate i would kill to see this live!

  • haha roger looks like a vampire at 3:24

  • i want the rogers trench coat so much

  • love this, but id wish theyd move around a bit.

when i play this song, theres so much feeling in it, i cant not move. i have to sway with the tune changeups.
