Also.. Apply the power smoothly count 1.....2.....3.... All things we learn over the years. I wish I had some video of my first flights back in 2001 :-)
Here is a tip I learned from pilot workshops. Whenever you move the ailerons you must move the rudder. If you watch your first landing the nose is yawing left and right. This is very common. I used to do the same thing and didn't realize how bad it was until watching videos of my flights. I like to think of it like a motorcycle. When you turn you lean in the airplane think of "lean" as move your feet. Great work and keep the videos coming we can all learn from them. Nice touchdowns!
@MegaSwampass ..im slipping on my second landing actually..and you use the ailerons to drop the wing into the wind....and hold the centerline with opposite rudder..
correct me if i'm wrong but did the tower say turn on your transponder? For VFR flight isn't it tuned to 1200, but a different squawk unless you have to IDENT for the tower?
he'17. Am and again good take off approach just next time trim the nose appropriately. What cruising alt where set at ?, if you had any flight management prepared ?.
@MrFruityGerry ...i was pretty active on the trim wheel...the second landing, i was slipping so no...that approach wasnt one that required much more trimming that what i had put in. l cruised at 1500 ft...till 5 miles from the airport...and i descended to pattern alititude. whats the comment you started with? "he'17" ???? lol
@leo3604 ..im going to college in August..im going to The University of North Dakota..they have the best flight program in the country. Im going there,,,I'll get all my ratings, and hopefully from there on..a job ; )

On your first landing, I know your slipping the aircraft but are you using mostly rudder to keep yourself aligned with the runway?
