This was the most realistic show about high school EVER! Nobody had really nice clothes, sometimes they wore things more than once. The girls bathroom was nasty and there were always girls in it. Every school had a "Rayanne Graff" and a "Ricky" Angela was just your typical high school girl, I wish this show would have been give a chance, you could tell the writers were itching to tackle all kinds of tough topics.

The brilliance of this TV show in my opinion... is that from Angela's point of view... and the way the show is filmed, I feel like I am reading Angela's private diary... her inner most thoughts and feelings. It feels genuine, true, honest, and raw. That diary would be titled, My So-Called Life.

OH MY GOSH, I LOVE THIS SHOW!!! So much brilliance and heart went into this show. Just look at the way they display Angela's kisses. You can feel her emotion in each one...especially the last one.Very passionate...even though it was CPR!! But, you can tell how she felt it! :)

Winnie Holzman said she planned to get Sharon pregnant, split up Patty and Graham, and have Angela run the house when Patty got really depressed. Mr. Katimsky was also going to be fired for helping Rickie, and Patty would have gotten out of her depression to help him.
That sounded the the route the show was going to go. I would've loved to see a second season at least, with Angela realizing that Jordan is not for her but Brian is and Jordan being in love with her but losing her.

If you like this, you should definitely check out a show called 'freaks and geeks'- just like this, a show that was too good for its time.

freaks and geeks was genius but it was intentially funny and could make you laugh. This show was more of the type of show where the laughs weren't direct

@MissSweetCorn um, what about Party of Five. You can even watch that on youtube too. That was an extremely 90's show and the Neve Campbell character is kinda similiar to characters in MSCL.

Winnie Holzman said she planned to get Sharon pregnant, split up Patty and Graham, and have Angela run the house when Patty got really depressed. Mr. Katimsky was also going to be fired for helping Rickie, and Patty would have gotten out of her depression to help him.

That sounded the the route the show was going to go. I would've loved to see a second season at least, with Angela realizing that Jordan is not for her but Brian is and Jordan being in love with her but losing her.
