You know what I do to Big Sisters? Shock 'em, and then own them the Big Daddy way. You know, drill charging. It is rather effective, especially after you've researched them well.

I usually just tried the fountaine futuristics secret room with the turret outside and cyclone traps everywhere, with rivets and spears wating with hypnotized splicers all over, and/or the plasmid testing room with a hacked health station, and water on the floor (sometimes hypnotized Big Daddy), but neither seems to work. Mind sharing your secret of success?

I got it (on hard) in paupers drop right behind the kiosk near the diner and all i did was have out winter blast 1, set up all the trap rivets i could hold and have my rivet gun fully loaded and ready for frozen headshots!!! aaaauuuuh yeahhhh!!!

that first big sister was a bitch on hard. im playing my hard playthrough with the same one as no vita chambers so that one was hard. i just ran to the el dorado lounge and and used 22 trap rivet behind me. then owned her in el dorado. i also had like 6 heavy rivet and 36 50. calliber rounds. it was tough

In lame terms, for all you push-a-button types out there that don't understand anything about software and hardware. PCs are like having your own car, there's a wide range of them from the cheap and crappy ones to the expensive super cars. If you own one you get to do whatever you want with it, but you have to learn how to drive it. Consoles, are like taxis, when you want to get from A to B you get inside one, you "push a button" tell it where to go, and you'll get there as fast as possible.

Well, maybe that wasn't the best analogy, but I wasn't referring to the car itself but to the act of owning / using it. When you take a taxi, it's easier, cheaper, you don't have to learn to drive the car (i.e. don't have to learn to operate a PC), and you're guaranteed to be taken to your destination as fast as possible (you don't have to park the car, and the driver always knows the fastest routes). That's what I meant pretty much... and, that PCs are for pros and consoles are for amateurs :)

Haha, many people fail to see the point of gaming consoles. PRICE is the point. Gaming consoles are NOT better than PC, they just deliver the same performance as a good PC at a much lower price. And that's because the code written for a console runs at 100% efficiency and takes full advantage of that hardware, while a software written for a PC is more "generic" since it has to run on any possible hardware config, thus it is less optimized, and since it runs on top of an OS, has lower efficiency.

Well of course, they are probably going to be biased with consoles. I like keyboards because its a lot easier to control shooter games with; in my opinion.

The fact is, that there's no console equivalent for a mouse. And when it comes to games that make heavy use of precise cursor movement, like RTS and FPS, mouse will always win. That's mostly the reason why many console-oriented FPS games have auto-aiming systems or aim-friendly gameplay. If you wanna play a real FPS game, where precision aiming actually matters, like for example Counterstrike, then there's no way you'll be able to defeat mouse-using players with a console controller.

Since keyboards are for general use, they don't have keys for doing a specific task, the "push a button" way that I mentioned in another comment, so you have to do some learning to figure out what key does what, although, games of similar genre use similar if not the same keys and mouse control. It would probably be as confusing for me to use a console controller as it is for a console gamer to use a keyboard, but it's only a matter of learning it.

I did it on medium difficulty in about 11 hours, first play through. However I got OP pretty fast and I pretty much rushed the second half. One warning, even though the game says that you won't be able to get all weapon upgrades and abilities (from adam) you'll be able to get pretty much all that you think is interesting both in weapons and abilities, so if you play it once you won't feel any need for a second play through. But it has multiplayer which is pretty good so SP is not everything.

Anyone know how long an average playthrough of this game will take? Ive been playing Dragon Age and Mass Effect 2 and each is like a solid 35 hours for a regular playthrough, so I really dont want to get something that lasts me 8 hours.

I did it the first time on hard, I played it nonstop from noon till 8 in the morning. I was not looking for anything other than the other little sisters, but if you start looking for every little thing like I am the second time through, it may take longer.

I tried getting big brass balls, I almost got it too. But on hard those too Big Sisters right before you find Eleanor are just too hard, I ran out of first aid kits so I was screwed.

Don't lose hope, I made the same exact mistake. Now I have to do it a third time through just to get them all.

I did actually have first aid expert tonic at that point, but I did the story by saving all the Little Sisters, so I had limited Adam to spend.

i saved them too. heres a tactic, use the research camera (if you havent already maxed out research on them) to highlight one so you can focus on it. use all your grenades and rpgs on it, then your armor piercing, then heavy rivets. having security command 2 helps too, use it on the one you're not focusing on so you can distract it
