Only an evil god would use suffering to achieve a greater good.
An omnipotent and omnibenevolent god would simply bypass the suffering and create the greater good.
The quarks of good than came out of the Holocaust do not justify the galaxies of suffering than went into it. If you don't know what a quark is, look behind an electron.
Wow...comparing mass murder to adultery. Of course why god should care about either is a mystery but the comparison is terrible. Typical apologist tactic; the evil is "our" fault...don't you know? Never mind the quakes and tsunamis and hurricanes and famines and blizzards and droughts and diseases which kill millions...its our fault....Pain is "good". What bullshit.
warren52nz - You are putting blame on God for the bad things that happen in the world. I believe you are missing the point. It is not God's obligation to stop these things that go wrong, they are a result of sin and wickedness in the world. they are the consequences of choices that we have made as humans that go against God's plan and design. If God were to step in a remedy every situation grace would lost it's meaning. Grace is not guaranteed, it is freely given by God to whom He chooses.

Evil is in the eye of the beholder.
You still didn't answer the question which I can generalize to "Where was God when ANY of the awful things that happen in this world happened?"
The answer is simple... God is only in the minds of those that believe in Him. No where else.
Seeing that there is only 1 comment to this video, I expect you remove any that you don't like so I doubt anyone will get to read this. Peace.

Excellent points made. I will now pray everyday that God will help me not contribute to evil in any way.
