I'm pretty sure the Supra was looking at the rear bumper before the second race started, then proceeded to pass the evo then shifted, passed it again, then the evo caught up, and then it ended. Evo had almost a car before even starting second race, and Supra would've walked evo top end anyway. I'm pretty sure a Supra with a t67 can handle more than 24psi, he probably just cut it down to make it a fair fight against the evo. I mean stock boost is 12 on the MKIV. Evo stock is 16 I think or close

To me, such things are ok since it is TRD and these are Toyotas. If it were some made up kit, I would have never bothered.

Burlbark ~ @ yeah I had some issues also with stock dsm trannys, after having them built by john shepard I was able to shift @10k rpm without anyissues year after year. The evo tranny is many times stronger then typical dsm trannys
It depends my car is running 665 AWHP and trapping almost 150 mph, I guess it really depends on how much you race or run the car. All I have is just a standard bushwacker rebuild that was only 900 bucks and ive been running sub 10.5 passes for 3 years on the same tranny. In the summer months I daily the car everday , they are not weak like the dsm trannys.

Yes that is true, unless these engines were built by someone who is capable of making them 150% more efficient than 70%. That's what I was implying is possible. But for the average tuner companies\machine shops you are 100% correct.

It's the new trend, well made mid frame turbos that can keep spinning give cars the response of a standard t3/t4 and the top end of a bigger t4 ish turbo.

@diego571 any turbo can have different compressor and turbine wheels, also different hot side housings, just because someone says both cars have a t67, that doesnt mean they have the same thing, for all you know, one has a t67 that has been modified to better fit their application, and the other has a t67 that isnt, does that help understand at all? im not trying to start a heated argument, just stating facts.

@skidandcrasher Haha good luck with the $300 insurance on that thing..plus the 35grand+ your going to have to have to buy it in the first place..I can get a slightly modded Evo for around 17grand and on top of that since it is considered a 4 door sedan my insurance is going to be around $80 a month..keep dreaming..And i've seen plenty of Evo's take supras like they were nothing..

Burlbark ~ @ yeah I had some issues also with stock dsm trannys, after having them built by john shepard I was able to shift @10k rpm without anyissues year after year. The evo tranny is many times stronger then typical dsm trannys

It depends my car is running 665 AWHP and trapping almost 150 mph, I guess it really depends on how much you race or run the car. All I have is just a standard bushwacker rebuild that was only 900 bucks and ive been running sub 10.5 passes for 3 years on the same tranny. In the summer months I daily the car everday , they are not weak like the dsm trannys.
