well religious idiots have been dominating public opinion for the last 2 thouzand years and how many millions have been persecuted or executed because of it? i think its great that one of the best comedians working today is trying to educate today's young generation to ignore religions false promises and seek a new way of thinking like the late greats George Carlin and of course Bill Hicks

@lickstickly The reason i commented on the useless obvious statement is because typically when ppl are trying to make a point they decide to change there casual computer slang to full words and sentences which bothers me and obviously you were, you said a comment that ricky gervais is saying in these series of videos and all 97 ppl who thumbs up'd it were probably watching these videos because they understood the point of it next, say something useful in the helping of judge the video thanks

@lickstickly Yeah it was totally due to Ricky's influence I became an Atheist. Not solely him but he was definitely the start, I'm 20 now and back 6-7 years a go hearing the radio shows made me start questioning things for sure.

@goodflo911 I was brought up a Christian and still would be if I had not listened to Gervais (When I was 13) I would not have "STARTED" to question these things, only after I had been introduced to a knew way of thinking (At the age of 13) did I go and look for a more scientific and skeptical approach, then I discovered people like Rhandi and Penn and Teller, Christopher Hitchens which then lead me to pick up some philosophy.
Ricky Gervais got me started looking into things like that.

@dom182...I would agree with Gervais/Dawkins that the story provided by science appeals more to me, that it is the story I've rooted myself in and is the story that sounds very sensical to my standard of reality. But the overall narrative which embeds this "culture of science" does however rely on a western epistemological bias of assumptions. Stricktly scientifically speaking, no human being on earth can claim to have perceptual access to the "actual" or "real" reality.
