20 DIY Ornaments

Christmas 2010, my boyfriend and I made customized salt-dough ornaments for EVERYONE in our families! (that's a good 80+ group right there! They were in the shape of the first letter of their name and we painted EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM to match that person's likings or personalities :)

Oh my gosh! I just love the golden Snitch! This will fit perfectly in on my Victorian/Harry Potter Tree next year. Can't wait to celebrate christmas with my boyfriend alone for the first time. :)

I'm half Swedish so most of our ornaments are made of straw tied with red string. We got some from IKEA with black string. We have reindeer, stars, and little Christmas trees. I really like how simple that kind of stuff looks!

i found a picture on tumblr of a pincone(upside down) with a ball and a little hat and scarf on it, like a little elf, it's super adorable.

Also my art teacher made a neat one by wrapping yarn around a shower ring and tieing a bell and bow on it like a mini writh

Nice video. Every year I ask my friends to make 1 ornament for my tree....just 1 ornament. And every year I get the same ultimate response from most of them..."But, I don't know what to do". Next year I'm going to direct them to the many easy do it yourself videos on You Tube. Thanks for the idea.
