but when private companies do the same thing...everyone's okay with that...even though the SAME ARGUMENT could be applied to them.
They could easily put the money to use for improving their companies/helping their employees, but hey its COOL if it's rich folks doing it. Not like they're a second form of government that don't even have to answer to us. =\
Incredible. Bush ran up $5 trillion on the taxpayers credit card, and NOW there is outrage over govt spending? This has been going on for the past 30 years, and yet only seems to be worthy of national news when Democrats are at the helm. This type of reporting should be done every day, not just when Dems are in control.

@hergs That's funny... ok the premise of your point - Bush spend $5 bucks so it's okay for us to spend $500,000 now to justify not signing the checks during the bush years. Get a better starting point please. Bush was bad, but the 111th congress is magnitudes worse.
How's this for a starting point: Get the money out of politics. Fund elections publicly, and banish corporate contributions. Truncate the election cycle to 2 months instead of 2 years. We would have real people applying for public office instead of con men who have already been bought and paid for.
We can rant and rave about FAA Christmas parties until we're blue in the face, meanwhile the banker gangsters who control ALL of our politicians sit back and laugh like an evil Santa. HO HO HO!
Wow. This reminds me of the million dollar retirement party they threw for the U.S. post master general a couple years back. And liberal progressives want more government, thinking they are good stewards of your tax money. Now they want the government to run the health care of America? You will reap what you sow.
"Now they want the government to run the health care of America?"
Oh please. If you had even bothered to pay ANY attention to the 'health care' debacle you'd know they killed the single payer and public option long ago. But hey, why should we take responsibility for our government or ourselves when we can bitch and hope 'jesus' saves us instead?
Don't play the "Oh please" bullshit with me. Just because they didn't pass it didn't mean they weren't pushing it.(Not off the hook) "why should we take responsibility for our government?" because it's our fucking duty...That's why. And the whole point of being an American is to take responsibility for ourselves. And I'll bet you were thinking you were insulting a republican with the Jesus thing. Fail.
Nice job taking everything I said out of context, buddy. I'm all for taking responsibility for the government. Maybe if we do we might have a chance at getting big business out of it for a change. The reason I am for SINGLE PAYER is because we'd be taking responsibility for our own health care instead of letting insurance and pharmaceutical death panels do it for us the way they have been.
The liberalassclowns think it's party time!! wooo hoo lets party dudes!!!Whoo hoooo fuck the people that are paying for this!! yeah baby!!!!! whoooo hoooo!!!! they will just have to suck it up because we are in power now whoooo Hooooo!!! we only have four years to fuck shit up so we'll have something to bitch about for the next fifty years or so!! Whoooo Hoooo!! Yeah!!! Paaaaarrrrrrrtey buddy!!!! wooo!! hooo!!!!
The taxpayers will forgive them Hell they've forgiven them for everything else. Why not this too. Cause we're a nation a Christians who forgive the wrong doings of others even though it's us who is going to be shouldering the burden of this.

Agreed - repeal the 17th amendment the 16th and abolish the 1913 Federal Reserve Act. Great starting points.

My comment to this: Go ahead throw more partehs. Parties are good. The money also goes directly into the local economy so I approve it.
