my linksys router just died today for no reason, though it was starting to slow down lol. It was quickly replaced with a netgear gigabit dual channel router and so far it kicks ass :)
i have linksys, and it sucks also :( and i use something called netgear :) and it's way better than linksys but loses connection occationally but linksys remains unresponsive, i wish i could destroy mine also.
The problems with these routers are usually a combination of overheating and poor factory firmware. Install a few ramsinks for a dollar or two, then flash with Tomato and they scream. If you have done your research, you would have realized many of these (v.4 or earlier) are diamonds in the rough and quite coveted by networking geeks.
If the router was still powering up - you might have been able to install DD-WRT or other freely available open source firmware on the router and solved the problem.

im using windows vista ultimate on a hp laptop no prob.with linksys..I guess you just needed to upgrade the software that you'll download at linksys...hehehe cool vid.anyway

Real Smart - if you buy something and it has a problem call the support lines and have them fix it.
Jos - you where not on hold for 2-hours that I am sure of Linksys hold times are not that long!

Fuck linksys. I loved burning ours. the fucker wouldn't stay connected no matter what you did.
Even uploading a new firmware didn't work. I give this 5 stars, excellent!
