the reason silver is fast now is because since iblis was never realeased in sonic 06 after elise blew out the candles, silver lived in a good future and somehow gained the ability to spin dash and run at comparable speeds like sonic and shadow

When I were playing with Espio, I always used his S.M as a countermeasure. Like, when a fireball is close to hitting me, I'll activate his S.M & the fireball passes him.
