This is a beatifull song with a haunting melody, The David composed this song while living in LA and going through a nasty divorce from actress Helen Mirram. I think his pain and anguish helped make this song the masterpiece that it clearly is , the Sunday Times recently described it as one on the top 10 songs from the last century.Pure genius

@VinceBeasley Are you sure you're referring to Dollar? I love this song but it's a mish-mash rocker which has nicked from Van Morrison, Nick Gilder and their debut song "Shooting Star". As for it being pure genius, the public didn't think so as it only reached No. 60 in the charts, the lowest charting song they put out.  Pity, cos it's one of my favourites of theirs.

Yes I said "pure genius" and thats what I mean. Lets get one things straight, David Van Day is perhaps one of, if not the most talented singer songwriters the world has ever known. Ok he has not been in the charts in recent years but he is up there with the greats, The Beatles, Stones, Jim Morrison and the Worzels.

I know the word genius is used liberally these days but in context of David Van Day it is not used enough. I rest my case.
