This video touched me and really hit home. Earlier this year I found out I had a pituritary tumor and now looking to have surgery for the tumor. In addition to that I went to the Dr for follow up and discovered i too have a growth on my thyroid. It is all so nerve wrecking I am nervous as hell! Glad you r ok. Very good info. I had a scan yet thank God did not need more than meds. I have a low one. I find Levothyroxine 125mg an easy pill to take. Beware that you dont take too many or miss a dose. Can be serious. Take it with just water 1hr before eating and dont take it with any other pills. Good Luck.

I have to say that this is a more serious and les volitile side of Scoop in this episode of Man and Wife. This is a very serious matter where Shanda is having surgery, and i can understand the severity of this situation because I too know what it is like to go under the knife. Its a very serious matter, and sould be aproached in just such a way.

Very true alot of people have this problem and it should be checked everytime you go to the doctor. Only about 5% of people have to have surgery and it must be scary...I will pray for you and I KNOW how you are feeling!!!

Hey guys!! A co-worker of mine went through the same surgery about 5 months ago, and she is back to her crazy, off the wall humor self. She has lupus as well, but she is still keeps it moving. Shanda you were a trooper! And don't feel bad for crying and being scared! I was a recovery room nurse for many years, and I know for a fact that there is NO such thing as a simple surgery. Things happen all the time, even with the most basic procedures. So you had every right to be nervous.

Shanda, Wish you a fast and speedy recovery. I had my thyroid removed May 2001. So, I understand your fears of the unknown right now. I have been taking synthroid TM in 2001. Once my doctor found the right dosage of meds, I was fine. Take care of yourself! I was so happy to hear no cancer. I had cancer but thats okay because I am still here! I have a very vague scar, if any. I can advise you don't rub it you can cause keloids. You have a strong support in Scoop.
