  • WOW . . That was NASTY . . I hope the rider was ok after . .

  • I have been told that the first generation Suzuki Gsxr-1000 had a vicious power peak at 9000 rpm and higher. It was apparently dubbed the widow maker. Modern day traction control could have prevented this. Never roll on more throttle while simultaneously increasing lean angle.

  • WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU RACE SPORT BIKES ON A WET TRACK

  • he corrected himself from little bit slipping/drifting and that was the cause ;/ i would like to race on track but i only have a kawasaki ninja 250r ;/

  • Concussion. Man that sucks. I just got out of the hospital due to an on track accident.

  • what the hell, did he die instantly? if he didn't die, can he still walk? is he ok?

  • @IntenseSoldier Dumb ass questions, u moron!!!

  • Looks like he reallu opened the throttle too hard coming out of the corner.

  • wow what a great medical crew they looked like they were really concerned about him and rushed to his aid.....NOT

  • Is it just me........or is that grass fucking amazing.

  • Dang it, this is not what I need to see before I hit Barber for the first time...

  • omg is he fine .

  • I was there yesterday and those seams are a bitch...probly had lost traction

  • did he died?

  • damn sounded like he hit his head hard, any word on the injuries?

  • two cameras one crash

  • Hate to see anybody out having a good time and lose it like this. He is our biker brother no matter if on track or the street. Hope he does not half to go through this shit agian. Take it easy my man,and keep it up on two wheels...

  • first guy break his arms? they were flippin all over the place

  • I was very impressed you rode such a beautiful motorcycle on such shit roads yesterday. That shows real passion. I had a great day. See ya again!

  • Was riding today with Jerry.

  • looks like he hit the seam...classic at barber. water sometimes comes up between the cracks. wet tar=no traction

  • classic highside. lost traction, backed off, got traction and flipped. any rider knows the story. he should have kept on the gas.

  • Wow: ozolrender0, your analysis of the accident is amazing! I am signing on to be one of your followers so that I can learn much more from your obvious mastery of riding. Thank you.

  • To Jailer174: You must not have any ride time at Barber or you would know the track leaks water.

  • i love the way everybody is a genius an knows what happened. The rider is the only one that knows what happened. An as long as he was'nt badly hurt that's the main thing.

  • Did the rider survive?

looks like he fell off hard & unconscious..

  • Yes. He survived.

  • He only had one chance, for one of the shortest moments of his life, that I am sure he will never forget. When that tire broke loose he should have held the throttle wide open, he closed it in that brief moment while deciding what he should do. The tire broke loose locked regriped and caused a high side.

  • ... and with that comment, we know who has never been in that situation in his life. Am I right?

  • he didnt hit shit he accelerated to fast in the corner and magged it

  • I'd like to see the museum up there.

  • he hit a weeper on the track a weeper is a puddle of water that seeps up through the black top. the crash didn't have any other contributors. he hit the water and crashed. it hadn't been raining or anything like that for days there are evidentally underground springs under the track at barber

  • I still cant figure out how he crashed, looked like he had it perfect then he just lost it???

  • mini highside.. rear tyre regrips and bucks him off.

  • 0:03 the sound... pam concrete + head

  • Can't be his head against the road that sounds cos that would mean that the sound had traveled waaaaay faster towards the microphone in the camera then usual. If his helmet went against the road and gave a knocking sound, you would hear it some time AFTER the visual image of the helmet smacking against the pavement sinse light is much faster then sound. =)

  • i fail

  • physics fail. it's pretty much instant at the range the video is shot

  • Naah. Make a friend bounce a ball in the ground some 100 meters away from you and you'll see that the sound takes about 0,5 seconds to hit your ears. =)

  • Half of you are retarded. The bike had nothing to do with him being a squid. He was taking a great line, if you were half as intelligent as you think you guys are you would notice that there was a wet spot on the track that he hit. I want to see someone save a high side at 130+ that kicked out that quick.

  • He let his knee get to low

  • no, just too many acceleration at the end of the corner

  • Looking at the way he moved after, he was either unconscious or dead on the spot...

  • I'd say smacking the pavement with your head might cause you to lose consciousness, helmet or not.

  • Great video!!! was he OK after that?

  • He got slapped down like a pancake

  • gixxer squids,lol

  • Gixxer.

the best of cornering tools outthere

  • he is good 100% he has full equipment...

  • rip?

  • i've seen worse

  • awesome dude!

  • Shit... This video shows, how important helmet is... What a wack!!!

  • His neck didn't break. He broke a couple of ribs and punctured a lung. He crashed because of a "weeper" (water that comes up through the track from underground springs - it was 80 degrees for 3 days with no rain)

  • 130+mph highside will do that. Was he wearing good chest protection?

  • He broke his neck.

  • hope he is ok,that was a nasty crash

  • any1 know if he was he ok?? looked quite bad

  • ohh my that looked nasty

  • did u guys hear how load he hit hes head!..Oouch!!!

  • that looked like the other side of the alabama coaster. but i'm not sure?

  • That's turn 2-3, well before the coaster.

  • right on the money!!

  • If you look at the slow mo, he hit a wet spot in the track. There seems to always be a spot where water wheeps out of if there has been a lot of rain

  • I've seen the same thing there- seepage.

  • @danjasa414 Possibly, or he may be opening the throttle a little too fast out of the corner.

  • strange place to highside at barbers

  • look at the way he crashes, what makes you people think he suffers enough trauma to die from this? at least the bike was straight enough to where you didnt highside, ouch. been there, broken collar.

  • I crashed in this EXACT spot,,,!!! Same style too, A highside..have video from the rear of my dads bike which i was following, im gonna get it loaded up asap

  • Did he die?.

  • No, He didn't die.

  • He might have. He has a twin brother who we haven't seen for awhile, so its possible he took his place.

  • ouch,that gotta hurt bad

  • eeee herif düşmüş yani ne olduki :)Bu Kadarda Olmas!Olur Böle Vakalar Türk Polisinden Suçlu Kaçar:)

  • the site is untamedvelocity dot com

  • if you want to see more of jerry heres his site w w w dot u n t a m e d v e l o c i t y dot c o m enjoy it you can put a pic to the face and see more of his riding....

  • There's only two types of motorcycle riders: 1) someone who has crashed, and 2) someone who is going to crash....I'm just glad to know that this was done on a track, rather than the street/canyons. Good footage!

  • I think you missed a few stationary objects like: guardrails, trees, parked cars, side of mountains, etc. I know how stupid it is to crash in the street/canyons versus racetracks, and personally know how far we slide after falling off at 100+mph testing tires that are not yet sold to the public.

  • Ugh what a shame. Looks like the back tire went a little too far to the left on a skid :( glad he hit the grass, thats what saved me in MY accident.

  • hey well at least he landed into the grass. i think.

  • have you actually BEEN to any of these tracks ?? I have and...Sears Point is a piece of shit, lime rock is not even a bike track, mo-sport looks like something that club racers ran in in the early `70s with wall everywhere... Barber is a proper motorcycle track. It needs some more straightaway, but other than that, the place rocks.

  • what caused the spill????

  • his front wheel turned to the right to much and when he tried to fix it he was going to fasst soooo..... that happened

  • Suspension bottoming out, as he was getting on the gas on the exit, caused the rear to step out...very common crash that may have been prevented by standing the bike up as he was getting on the gas (who knows?...)

  • Comment removed

  • jerry is ok, i know him hes a friend of mine my best friend ted roper was with him on that day, and i have ridden with jerry before hes a great rider im surprised he crashed...... but yes hes ok just got banged up

  • This is the exit of T2. I see airfence, but not all the way up. Good he didn't do a Moto out into the grass. Barber is one of the safest around, but look at ALL that Armco. I've raced there several times and never noticed it before, until a couple of weeks ago when a fellow racer was killed hitting the unprotected guardrail coming out of T10.

  • i heard of that crash,i think he was a vintage racer,tragic stuff in such a great track,sorry 2 hear.R.I.P

  • No, I heard he landed on his head and that's what saved him. Thank goodness for wood.

I also heard a bear pulled up right afterwards and peed on him, which is what revived him.

  • Like everything in life, it's a calculated risk. Check the stats, I bet you're more likely to break a hip falling down the stairs than to meet this riders fate. This video is extraordinary. That's why you're watching. If it were the norm, it wouldn't be extraordinary. Duhh.

  • Hope he's OK!. That's the risk of this sport. Even if you are not racing it always happens. Also I do don't have safety armours around me but still crazy with it.

  • Good video
