The jet engines of that day had many problems like flaming out....Backfiring.... fuel delivery...low quality metal used in the turbofan blades.... This jet, the HO229 would fly very well with the engines of today, Very Well.

Of more interest is that the Horten 2-29 did not require multiple computers to keep it aloft.All modern flying wing style aircraft (and many other designs) cannot fly without their avionics computers.
