to wattage2007 i reply: i doubt you'll get the same sound quality audio engine and output in cubase and other programs, most of them. imo.
..i did have another question to yuvalishes, if it's not too stressful but, you might and others might find it relevant and useful to think about, nevertheless(?) and that is:
what is the best sound quality of the EXPORT FILE. does it do stuff like PCM, 5.1 surround or FLAC output ect? ..since it's now also 32bit stuffs..
hi, how much RAM do you think a laptop needs to be able to run this well, without too many cahce hiccups ect. and windows freakin' out? ..8? 16? ..would 32gb make a diff or is that bs and 16 is plenty. Also does SSD make a major diff or not, or are regular rams with a good say quadcore multi p enough,..in your opinion. thx 4 review/upload. cheers.
WILL PROTOOLS 10 WORK ON "MACBOOK PRO" LION(2011)IM RECORDING RAP AND R&B SONGS ONLY NO BANDS OR NOTHING LIKE THAT..WHAT ALL DO I NEED TO WORK OFF MY LABTOP IF PROTOOLS 10 WILL WORK? JUST A M-AUDIO INTERFACE?I GOT A MIC AND KRK SPEAKERS ALREADY.
@blacksoundtv Yes, indeed it will work perfect on a macbook pro with almost any audio interface. You would probably need an ilok for the license but other than that you should be fine. Good luck!
I wood like to no is ProTowls 12 out in Iceland? I has a PC computer Mac with CDR-OM drive and can borrow a mouse from my Uncle Tepid. Thanmks for you help.
you guys are wrong , as far as I know Logic does NOT have clip gain control or clip gain line for that matter, if you use Logic you would know that...and this is an important feature to have....also the automation follows is something very handy....
@07087joenj You're right, Logic does not have clip gain control or line gain control. However, other DAWs have had that feature for a while now. I use Logic as well as PT10 and that's definitely a setback for Logic. Thanks for watching and commenting, it means a lot.
thumbs down ....they are charging more money for shit that cubase had years ago and they still cant get it right...looks to me like Cubase and logic are the new so called industry standard lol
@yuvalishes No, I am a total Pro Tools man but the last two versions (9 and 10) are not major updates. Avid have got a nerve charging money for these minor .01 updates in my opinion.
Jeez, is that the best they could come up with?!? Most of these features have been in Cubase for years! This new version appears to give me no reason whatsoever to upgrade from HD 8.1.
@wattage2007 for Cubase ditto Pyramix. A PT user friend of mine is close to orgasm about the new features on PT10. I've been banging on to him for years about how far behind PT is in relation to many basic features that other DAW's have. Next, PT users will tell us all that they've invented the wheel.
SOUNDS LIKE PROTOOLS IS FINALLY DOING SHIT PROPELLERHEAD' Record 1.5 or Reason 6 does!!

Dude, I love this video. It made me sure to really go for the PT 10 from my 8. Clip gain is something I really am going to LOVE! Thanks!

I like the 32 bit aspect, but the rest is sort of... meh. I can do fine with my PT9 setup.

Many thanks for the great vid!
Channel Strip and Mod Delay look and sound very cool:
Are they included free in PT 10?
-might be worth the $295 AVID is asking for (yet another) upgrade!
- otherwise not a lot seems to have changed........
