There was, they announced a demo one year ago, that they would release a demo around May, but then delayed it too september, and now they say no demo atleast until the game was released, but they are having a closed beta for LBP now, hopefully they make ut public soon.
I know, I was kidding. No doubt this will be one of the best games ever.
