  • I have a Rossi in 38/.357 and it feeds .357 rather rough. It does feed. I would like to know what you find out about your Ranch Hand feeding problem and where the holster came from .

  • 6 People don't get what he's "talkin' bout".

  • wish you coudl get the rossi without the dumb large loop lever

  • another flawless video by the man!!! the henrys sure are nice, but pricey, my local outdoors store has the .44 mag rossi ranch hand on sale for $400 this week!!! and i'm broke this week :-(

  • what a fantastic review! thanks so much. How would you feel about using any of these weapons for home defense over a shotgun? just curious. thanks

  • @chitown1966 I think they would be fine for home defense but I have a 12ga and a Glock .45 at my bedside every night. Thanks for the comment.....have a great weekend friend.

  • @bigdaddyhoffman1911 Thank you for your response. stay safe.

  • i got to get me one of these for sure, going with 45 henry, nice looking gun, sweet cherry pie!

  • @TabCrusher Great choice and a sweet shooter for sure.....Thanks Friend.

  • thanks man this helped make my mind up, kust one question does henry make the 45colt in blue instead of brass aswell, nothing against brass but its to pretty a gun to take out and shoot all the time

  • I had two of the rossi mare's leg pistols. Both of them shot 6" high at 30 feet, and 8 feet high at 70 yards. Your video would lead us to believe the sights on yours are right on. Is that tue, or did you adjust for rossi's malfunction? My intent is to purchase the Henry, but not sure if I should since you demonstrated they both shoot right on. Is the Henry shooting high too?

  • @youmandt I haven't had that experience with mine but I will tell you I like the Henry better but the price is higher. Hope you get that worked out as I'm sure you will. The quality of the Henry is much better than the Rossi for sure. Thanks Friend

  • with the holster on your hip you look like steve macqueer in that one movie! hoo rah!

  • @TabCrusher LOL...I hear you. Thanks Friend

  • Thanks for you informative video, best regards!

  • how much have you shot them? how much wear is in the rossi? how durable are they i mean the rossi has my interest

  • thats what I'm talking about.

  • That right there should be the next sun drop commercial, 'how do you drop' or something like that. (better then the booty shaking ones they have.......)

  • wow... i feel stupid.. i thought they were both the same guns...xD

  • I had one of the Rossis. Serious feed problems. Rounds would far too often catch on the top of the casing feed mouth. Even crimped handloads. Worked better when lever was worked slowly, but still unreliable. The dealer claimed he'd sold two dozen of them, with no problems. What he meant was, no problems he cared to mention, I sure, and I'll never return to his business.

I ended up selling the weapon to a friend who knew all the problems, but wanted to work with it. Good luck to him.

  • Looks like I found my next CCW!! Happy Thanksgiving!

  • @efd5803 I hear ya on that.....Thanks

  • DO THEY MAKE .357 OUT OF THESE IN A HENRY

  • @ChivasUsaFan16 Not sure but I do have a Rossi .357 update video that should be up in a week. Thanks

  • yiou look like you live in alabama, georgia or mississippi

  • @ChivasUsaFan16 The Carolinas my friend.....Thanks

  • Where did you find the .22?

  • @ScottishRugby23 at a local gun show, I know that doesn't help to much. Thanks

  • @bigdaddyhoffman1911 Ok thanks, I found it on the website i was looking on. It was labeled as the .45 model but it was the .22

  • That's what I'm talkin about!

  • I wanna shoot that thing!

  • nice guns im looking at buying one of them keep up the grait movies much fun to watch

  • hey Big D

have you got the rossi 357 back?

I am looking at buying one would you recommend it?

love your videos by the way keep it up!!

  • in canada the mares leg is considered a rifle. making it non restricted. cant wait to get one

  • @tarantulaman420 Now that's cool. Thanks my friend....OohRah

  • to load a Henrys you need to pull the mag tube and on the rossi you dont.

  • @407ForRent That is correct......Thanks

  • im just curious, but what are those two leather strings hanging on that metal loop thing for on the rossi pistol? im guessing its just for looks

  • @andrewvanrhoberts I think your right, just for looks. Thanks my friend.

  • thats what im talking about haha

  • You should make a long distance video with that Henry . Keep the good videos comen big daddy !!!

  • I'm like'n that Henry!

  • SWEEEEEET!!!

  • Big Daddy a great video as always. Big D I was wondering if you like or shoot any muzzle loaders? I would love to see you shoot some big bore black powder rifle, that would be cool.

  • @BRR Never got into black powder rifles, maybe someday my friend. Thanks

  • Alls IM gonna say is THUMBS UP video BD!~~John

  • @WORRO01 Thanks John.....OohRah

  • that is right sometimes you do get what you pay for, not always a bad thing tho

  • I love my Rossi Ranch Hand in 44 Magnum. My only dislike is how high it shoots at under 15 yards. Had the sight all the way down and it still shot way too hi. Mine feeds wonderfully. The load port cover on mine was messed up from the factory. I've been waiting for a replacement cover since May. No Biggie still fun to shoot :)

  • nice

  • I guess that if you are going to buy a Mare's Leg lever action you do need to buy four - one for each corner of the horse...

  • @TheLegumMagister LOL....Good Comment. Thanks for making me laugh....OohRah

  • Great video Mark. If you know someone that has a Rossi Circuit Judge .410/45 i would like to see your thoughts on it.

  • @benhizzle I have one, don't think I've ever fired it but could be wrong...LOL I'll see what I can do about this and do a shooting review in the next week or two. Thanks

  • @bigdaddyhoffman1911 Thanks my friend, i look forward to the review.

  • i would do anything to know you

  • I get more comments on my Henry Mare's Leg 22 than any other plinking gun at the range. I find it just plain fun and of course I liked Wanted Dead or Alive with Steve McQueen. I got a Ruger Single Six Buntline largely for Wyatt Earp's TV show growing up and enjoy both and plink with both.

  • @tiggerr42431 Some great fun, thanks for sharing my friend.

  • Very nice, maybe the gunsmith could smooth up the action on the Rossi for you.

  • @biguy525 Sure hope so, will know in a day or two. Thanks

  • that sundrop bottle crapped out a peptobismol after you shot it....lolol .Great video bigdaddy

  • @grizzlyglock1 LOL....Thanks

  • henry has a magazine rod and rossi has a loading gate. good vid and sweet steel!

  • @phishintube Yeah, I should have mentioned this in the video. Thanks for the info my friend....OohRah

  • Very Nice my friend....looks like a load of fun in a small package

  • @67euroVdub No joke on that, these guys are fun and the .22 you can shoot all day long without breaking the bank....LOL Thanks my friend.

  • Thats a fine collection of lever action pistols bigdaddy, very nice

  • @brotherskeepers111 Thanks Mike, next time you come down we will shoot-em-up.....Oh Yeah

  • Stop doing this to me..... I can't afford all these great guns!

  • It's like the M1. Not such a great rifle, but one hell of a pistol. The Rossi 357/38 will shoot .357 but it's really made for the .38 Try a round nose lead bullet, and it will chamber better. If Browning made a Mare's leg I'd have two of them.

  • @danman911 I with ya on The Browning for sure. Your right the .38 chambered better but no luck at all on the .357. Quality wise I'll take the Henry over the Rossi any day. I do like the .45 Rossi ranch hand, just can't figure out why they even put .357 on the pistol. Guess we will see soon my friend. Thanks for the info....OohRah

  • Excellent Video Big Daddy, I cant believe that you did not shoot any Zombies with it:)

  • @BlackLabrador183 I'll get it done soon....LOL Thanks

  • Those "pistols" are great..love to get one someday. Thanks for sharing.

  • @dafrogtoad Loads of fun for sure. Thanks

  • enjoyed the video Big Daddy. i think Steve McQeen carried one of those in the Wanted: Dead or Alive series. cool guns.

  • @megajeeplover He sure did, I put him in the tags in this video...LOL. Thanks for the comment.

  • Do they hold more rounds in 45 long colt than say a ruger vaquero 5.5" revolver? Other than the novelity of it...is there any advantage? I know the large revolver would be easier to carry in the woods.

  • @JimmyCricket61258 The .45 long colt holds 6 plus 1, guess the biggest advantage is the barrel length. I couldn't get over how accurate these guys are, very shocked. With that said love my Ruger Vaquero's....Oh Yeah

  • i rather have the henry...its made here in the usofa

  • @23mrcowboys Same here....OohRah

  • Josh Randall is smiling--Ooh Rah :))

  • @Tardisius Cool.....that's what this is all about.

  • all some good lookin guns!

  • @gpfordstang302 Thank U

  • I wish i lived in an open carry state to carry one of these bad boys around for kicks!

  • @BUCKrub91 No joke on that...LOL. Love NC's open carry gun laws for sure....Thanks my friend.

  • those things are awesome pistols are they custom, LOL

  • @GARYMANDIEVAN Just The Henry's....LOL Thanks Buddy....OohRah
