  • Hnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnggggggg This song Hnnnnnnnnnnnnnngg

  • This song sounds a lot like 'High And Dry' by Radiohead...seriously

  • this song seems so long, it felt like hours of epicness then i looked and only 1 minute passed

  • This song kicks my ass 15 years later.

  • I think this song is some sort of tribute to My Bloody Valentine. They had song called Here Is No When from their Loveless album back in 1991. Maybe their music influenced Billy. Either way, I prefere Here Is No Why over Here Is No When.

  • has anyone ever heard a better album. i meean ithis is an album i always come back to. but jesys christ its bloody great. in the top 10 of my fav albums of all time. incredible

  • In your sad machines, you'll forever stay, desprate and displeased with whoever you are, and your a STAR!

  • Billy(or his producer) made a great choice to sing Staaaaayyy for the entire 8-count

  • love this song!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Best solo ever. Period.

  • Who needs pictures for this video...the music is making a picture...all it's own!! give the video maker a break sheesh!

  • An excellent, glam rock-y, Big Star-esque aside from the Mellon Collie album. Deserved better than it was given.

  • I like that it only has the album cover picture. Good for all those unfortunate enough to have slow internet.

  • i want your babies billy

  • @franconbean my favourite too for some reason. Although there's many close seconds and thirds..

  • "sitting still was never enough!!!".......INSERT ROCK HERE!!!!!!

  • probably my face Smashing Pumpkins song.

  • @franconbean *favorite, not face >.>

  • Every time I hear this song I replay 2:55 - 3:05 when Billy says "And if you're giving in, then you're giving up!" It sends chills down my spine every time.

  • i always think of this as a song for movie credits

  • 2:26 Electro-Harmonix Micro Synth

  • I love the Smashing pumpkins! I don't care what any moron saids. I think Smashing pumpkins rule!

  • maybe my fave song on the album. This, In the arms of sleep and thirty three. I'll tell yall, I'm a 18 yr old ghanaian-canadian rap fan first and foremost, and the current state of hip hop made me listen to rock more than i used to and trace the classics. This album is simply bliss.

  • this my num 1 song'

  • Thank you for posting this, I miss this album so much!

  • Are the lyrics about how Billy views himself? Theres a "Muzzle" reference..."being forgotten". I used to think this song was about Robert Smith.

  • mmmm... loove the guitar.

  • Did you rip this song from a radio recording? The sound quality is so flat...your other uploads don't sound like this.

notoriousnatalie has a high quality version of this song if anyone is interested.

  • @TheGreatOne544

Nah, all my songs came from a CD I checked out from the library. Don't know why one would sound radically different.

  • @morejellytoast

Maybe he was primed by the bad quality of cover picture???

  • @TheGreatOne544

it sounds flat because it's compressed, not like the bitrate is really low and crappy but like the original audio itself got ran through a compressor and didnt leave any space for dynamics

  • @TheGreatOne544 The whole album sounds like this. It's a lower music quality sounding album.

  • @CordateHourglass go fuck your couch

  • This song is the shit. Takes me back junior yeah high school. Those were the days!!

  • we are the last of a dying generation.

    long live the 90's !!!

  • songs lyrics remind me of todays teenagers.... im guessing that billy wanted a song that showed that times are changing from happy glam music into sad heavy eyeliner music... billy sure can predict the future :D

  • greatest album of the 90's imo

  • awk, Billy.. you've lost what you once had, when James and D'arcy went it was downhill from there, anything after machina II was crap.. =[

  • holy motherfucking nostalgia. i will never stop loving this album.

  • "Re : Note: This is not a slideshow. Please don't complain about there being only one picture, I made it like that so people could minimize their browsers and listen to the music while doing other things on the internet."

that info is really very helpful. like, im wankingright now and listening to this very music

  • @leklek69

LOL. You'd be surprised at how may people I've seen whine about there being just one pic on other vids.

  • i listened to this album all the way through everyday i came home from school

  • wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • negativity yaaaaeoohhhh

  • luv luv luv this! (and the whole record, and the whole band!) BILLY GENIUS CORGAN, THANK YOU!

  • The sounds cheesed no I mean the file is messed not the song.

  • @BlackTeddies It sounds like a compressor running riot. And poor quality mp3 to boot

  • This album is just plain awesome, so many classic songs on it...

  • The Best song of the Samshing Pumpkins

  • i was thirteen

  • I was 17 when this came out :p

Damn im getting old, thankfully SP and this album never will!

  • @ch3ffz77 When did this come out?

  • @growlydebear 1995

  • @cornyking1992 thanks.I was 1 year old

  • @growlydebear i was 3

  • @cornyking1992 I was 8 :P

  • @xtraordinarymachine0 well winner winner chicken dinner my friend

  • @cornyking1992 i was about 4 months (inside the uterus)

  • I love you IamTheScorchedEarth.

For no particular reason : )

  • @SiliconBong well thank you, thats very flattering :)

  • Loves you even more.

I was changing from a child to an adult, when the smashing pumpkins were just being broadcast on the television.

It reminds me just how beautiful it is to be alive : )

  • @SiliconBong its amazing how so many people identify with billy

  • IamTheScorchedEarth

BillyCorgan had the right sound at the right time.

    I don't mean in a $commercial$ way.

I felt at the time, that he picked up the mood of the late eighties, early ninties,

    and channelled it into stereo.

[ and why the heck is it, that no matter how pleasing a comment looks when you first type it into the comment box,

it never looks quite the way after you press "Post" ] Grrr

  • To me:

Is it ninties or nineties ??

    :P

  • @SiliconBong i dont know... maybe the new YT isnt as pleasing as the old one... sometimes, past is better that present

  • IamTheScorchedEarth *chuckles.

It's not that this version of YouTube is more aesthetically pleasing than previous versions, it just a feeling of indignation, about someone changing something I had gotten used to.

Maybe YouTube are trying to make their site more appealing

for those using LCD widescreen monitors, instead of 21" CRT monitors !

    Alas YouTube, I barely knew thee . . . :)

  • wow i was like 5 when this album came out!!!

  • I was just born when it came out!

  • LOVE YOU BILLY!

  • classic pumpkins, too bad they lost thier way....

  • @MrMarcos2533 how come? in what way?

  • @MrMarcos2533 to paraphrase the late, great rick james: "heroin's a helluva drug"

  • @MrMarcos2533

    I don't think so.

  • genius song, all in one, together! i cant stop listening it :) at least once per day

  • Kinda scarying me a little, im 15, now, i thought life was ahead, but growing up does suck!!!

  • pretty much reminds me of the same thing-being 13, bored and very cold while hanging out in my friend's small town garage listening to this album over and over again after he stole it four days after it came. but don't worry, i bought it for christmas that year, or santa, or somebody....

  • Reminds me of being sat in the cold wishing i didnt have school but regretting not having anything else to do... Here is to 15 again... growing up sucks

  • obscured, cherub rock, soma, bullet with butterfly wings, thru the eyes of ruby, where boys fear to tread, east, soot and stars, zero, bodies, slow dawn, disarm, daydream, honey spider, muzzle, tonight, tonight, snap, sweet sweet

  • my eyes are diamond rubys n ur mom is in love with them n u know it ... suck it this song shreds

  • I love this song...the groove is amazing, and it's just one of those songs you become obsessed with...it tells of teenagers and how most are just so stupid, being all sad, thinking the weight of the world is on them, even though it's not...Smashing Pumpkins FTW :D

  • their best guitar solo to date

  • Andres Montes RIP

  • Ah, there's this other one: "Who is Rheynei?"

    omfg...

  • Yeah, and it's also an anagram for: "Where is y on?" ¬¬

  • yeah, it's fantastic!

  • i got Mellon Collie, great album, awesome song

  • "Here is no why" is an anagram of "whiny heroes" lol, probably not intentional but still funny in the context of the song

  • You can also spell "Shy Whore, Eh?"

  • I just have to keep replaying this video so that I can hear the guitar rift again. It's like I can't get my speakers loud enough its just so amazing.

  • Best album of he 90's is Siamese Dream closely followed by Pisces Iscariot but this is a great song nonetheless.

  • "And in your sad machines you'll forever stay, desperate and displeased, with whoever you are....And your a star....."

  • be forever doomed

  • omigod wot tune i love the pumpkins aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh xx

  • the best album of 90s

  • no question about it, you are right

  • Amazing song. It did get some airplay in L.A for a little while

  • I'm a huge smashing pumpkins fan and will be one until i die. but you can't say they don't care about the money because Billy released the new album like a douche and purposely chose who (stores, cities, etc.) could sell the album so it was more in demand at a higher price, thus making more money. But i agree with everything else you said.

  • i love how people are listenin to this song high when the lyrics hide a message about doin drugs in the first place XD hey, i do too. its chill

  • I've been getting baked to this song since the album came out!

    I'm only 24...

    chill on my man

  • I used to hate this song. Now it's one of my favorite SP songs. I guess some music you gotta grow into. Thanks for posting.

  • Yeah, I felt the same...it really does grow on ya. I think you learn to ignore the annoying pars and wait for those epic heavy guitar riffs XD

  • I was the same way with "Muzzle." I couldn't get past the first few seconds. But now I love it. One of the many Smashing Pumpkins songs that are on the soundtrack to my life.

  • I also have a SP soundtrack to my life. 18 tracks of pure awesomeness that i can't live without. Had a blast making it!

  • @TheUnknown285... i also have that soundtrack, it begins with mayonaise, then beautiful and... every other SP song thats about loneliness

  • I gotta say 90s was the last decade for good music plain and simple, the hip hop was good, club music was great, rock was tha shit!! BLAME corporations for the fall of music! and that bullshit tv show american idol

  • @crs78

It will come back again. The 80s were heavily commercialized. So were the 90s in that respect, but there were more bands in defiance to commercialism and rubbed raw from the 80s that it actually seemed decent. Soon everyone will be sick of Nickelback and the decade coming up (hopefully) will be one of musical revival. It always goes in cycles my friend.

  • @crs78 uh..... i think you are speaking of music on the "radio"

  • Man, this song I get to know in a period of time, when I always was stoned. It´s still good but I ain´t be stoned anymore...

  • We are now all more dumb, having read that. May god have mercy on your soul

  • Old School?

  • Yup and still the best there has ever been.

  • to think one day this will be considered a classic. a song has to be good enough for that rank, and this definitely meets that too!

  • I love this song! Hadn't heard it in 10 years till last week!

  • this song reminds me of sitting on the floor of my sisters house when I was 13, thumbing through the Cd's booklet, and just listening to this cd for hours on end.

  • @MrIDontKnowWhoIAm Weird. We were probably doing the same thing at the same exact moment in time....

    :)

  • This song is a rock anthem!

  • WoOt!

  • hands down their best song that never was released as a single

  • ajkhdjlshdflkdsjhfk

  • U speak my language!

    adjsadjkasfnoiahfvaskfaicabsc?

  • I honestly don't have any recollection of commenting on this video.. least of all saying "ajkhdjlshdflkdsjhfk" .. but sure i speak it fluently..

  • lol!

  • i remember coming home from school and the first thing after i threw my book bag down was hit repeat all on that old pioneer cd deck and listing to my infinite play list... it take me back, thank you

  • should have been another single off this album. i almost bought this as a double record set factory sealed with posters and everything, but it was $250!!!

  • thanks for putting these songs up dude, i lost my cd awhile back and this is just awesome

  • You're welcome!

  • WTF?!?! Where's the slideshow?

  • Haha, very funny :)
