actually you get better for less money with Ati... while nvidia are more expensive. 9800gt is 50$ more expensive than the hd 4850 and is slower.

The GTX260 and 4870 are evenly matched.

it's faster than the 9800gtx in some games(equal to in most, costs a lot less though). the gx2 costs more thatn 3 times as much as the 8800gts. the only reason to get the gx2 is because a.) you have a really large screen, or b.) you want to play crysis on very high with good framerate. i personally would get the 8800gts because it is so inexpencive and if you want more power, you can put it in sli.

im having the same problem with the power supply requirement, i have bought a 600watt, and i used a converter (4molex to 6pin converter) to plug it in on the card, but on the manual of the graphic card it says do not use a converter. So i gave the 600Watt back, and getting a 700Watt with a 6pin, so i dont have to use a converter. I should receive it soon, i will tell you if it works or not.

i got this iwth a amd6400, and this 8800gts graphics card, and asus m2n sli (which is a pos and sent back to get a evga 680i and a intel e7200) i got about max of 300 fps but it self in high settings 16x anti aliasing and 1440x900 res. this card is worth it. for the the 9 series.

Yeah, I can play 1360x728 with 4x AA and mostly Very High and get a stable 30fps, but if I try upping the resolution further it craps out.

Make sure you overclock it, it has a lot of headroom, at least my BFG version does.

I've got the core at 770MHz and the memory at 1155MHz, and it's pumping out 74GB/s.

Makes a noticeable difference in FPS.

it is true memory quantity won't make a difference, but this is only true when playing on lower resolution. However as the user increases his/her resolution, the texture and fill is more demanding. Adding more memory will fill in to these demands.

GTS Runing Crysis = 21 Fps - 26 (overcloaked)

GT Runing Crysis (in my PC SLI) = 60 Fps - 70

Nop, There the only computer configuration that Can Run Crysis At max Detail etc... and Max Antianalising... is the Trio of Geforce Ultra, But I recommend to Wait a little for the Geforce 9 series, read the previews, One of the two cards of the 9 series cards that is gonna come out its gonna Run with 35% more efficiency than the Geforce Ultra.
