Well remember Jane is from times far from now, and Jane has been in the Volturi for years. So she does look right because in her time/in Volturi thats how they dress. oh, and her hair. Back then children didnt wear there hair down and she is supposed to be a scary and independent, there for the hair is completely appropriate! GO FANNING!

well first off, she was wearing a black cloak, not a dress. a cloak is draped over the shoulders and hides pretty much everything from the neckline down...and since shes not a normal person (vampire), and i dont think the book describes her hair style (if it does my bad), it can really be whatever. itll look fine in the actual film.

I honestly think that Dakota doesn't look especially old. People have said that she looks 18, but in my eyes, she strikes as looking like a younger adolescent.

Additionally, people have said Jane is supposed to be 12? Wouldn't that contradict the mythology of Stephenie Meyer's world, because she would be classified as an immortal child?

She's meant to be old fashioned. She's how many years old? I swear she's older than edward is. Her dress suits it really, the hair im not sure about, but the angle the photo was taken on was awful and the lighting isn't going to be JUST like that in the film, because yeah, you can't really say anything till you've seen it. I agree about the rest though, she's a good jane :D

I love your response. I totally agree that Dakota is xtra talented and she can best portray Jane, I cannot see another girl giving life to Jane. I was so happy when I learn she was the one chosen. So, I just thought, I too should be able to say my opinion. Thanks for the response.

i completely agree with you thinking that in the books stephenie says once you become a vampire you look older, more mature, and more beautiful. i totally think dakota can work being a 12 year old vampire.
