I think the GOP has blocked many things they would rather wait to pass so it would allow them to take credit for. Its pretty easy strategy to see; block Dems from passing anything to make them look bad, then pass everything they where blocking once their in control to look like they're the ones to save us.

OK How LONG have they had to get this done? Look; I'm a conservative Christian and I'm sick of stupid government. True; Congress is trying to push a bunch of stuff through that should have been settled earlier. This is just one of them. They should try to leave the political BS aside. And sadly; that is something they can't seem to do. People are fed up with this crap. Get this bill passed in the next month.

@KowKowCalqulator Congress passed this months ago, the Senate is the one that has been blocking this and when I say senate I mean Republicans.  The senate committee that reviewed the bill (that they mentioned in the video) took place months ago, but Mr. Tom Coburn didn't even show up for that review even though he is on that committee. Then once the senate passes the bill the revised version goes back to the house and is voted on. Coburn is just a lazy politician that doesn't show up 2 shit.

@texadillo53 This wasn't a complicated issue. The Repubicans were just playing politics. What does November have to do with this bill? The Republicants were ONLY able to take the House. Hardly a sweep, especially when they were expected to take the house long ago. The only rat here is the Republican Party. It's a simple fucking bill. Help 9/11 first responders. The tax cuts were extended at the last minute to help the wealthy, yet we can't 'ram' a patriotic bill through the Senate? PATHETIC

Opposing?? It looks like he wants the details worked out ahead of time, extend the debate to hear the details. Why have these people been ignored for 8 years and now the D's want it forced through at last minute at christmas??? Last time we had a health care issue shoved through was last christmas and it was VERY flawed. This is just politics as usual on the part of the people who are rushing it through.
