Falun Gong practitioners are peaceful, but in order to achieve higher level of "enlightenment," they are recommended to meditate for long long periods of time. In any society, you can not move forward to be an economic force when more and more practitioners simply just meditate and do no work. Who will grow th crops, the buildings, and other vital duties? That is why we intervened.

Falun Gong can do as little as they like. For me its not mediation its exercise and its very good for your health.
Normally you only do a MAXIMUM of 1 hour of FG exercises at a time.
When I was training for cycle racing I wouldn't normally bother going training for less than an hour. Sometimes 5 or more hours.
Practitioners are meant to lead normal lives.
I think you have been fed false information. But plenty of false information has been spread about FG.

Actually that is not correct. We don't shoot border crossers here in the USA.We catch them, arrest them, etc... Sometimes they manage to drown themselves in the canals or die in the desert, but we don't just plain shoot them as they trek.
