@teksTomme flash takes some practice...I recommend reading some up on photography forums. The 430ex is a great flash to start off with. In manual mode you set the flash output power from full to 1/3 stops below full. You then shot in ANY manual mode i.e. Av, Tv, or M...I tend to shot full camera manual (set shutter and aperture) and full manual for flash. Also, the good news is if you later buy a 580ex it can wireless control your 430ex and in this setup it does offer you E-TTL.
Great stuff and thanks for the detailed videos, it REALLY helps. One question I had though is that Digi-Key now seems to have a couple different options for the 433mhz antenna when you search ANT-433-CW-RH in their keywords. There's a ANT-433-CW-RH-ND and a ANT-433-CW-RH-SMA-ND. Do you know which one we should go with? Thanks again!
This is a really good video. I enjoyed it. if you need more exposure for your videos check out t u b e v i e w s ( d o t m o b i ) Keep up the good videos and continue to make fresh content.

Same goes for the connectors when I search CONREVSMA004, it gives me two choices CONREVSMA004 or CONREVSMA004-ND.

I'm pretty sure it's an SMA connector (aka smaller than normal bnc connector).

hey, what would be the difference if I didnt use a 433 mhz antenna? Or is that the only frequency these triggers will respond to?
GiddikDesign 2 years ago
The freq is tuned to that so putting an antenna on that isn't tuned for 433mhz won't work.
